I have read a lot of threads that basically call for the dividing of GT5 into different versions for different regions, resulting in one region getting more of one type than another.
Basically, all of those ideas are bad because they lead to the exclusion of certain cars for certain regions.
My idea is sort of a spin on those other ones, but every car is included. It's simple: Instead of the current way of buying cars(country>make>model), I propose a more region-specific way of doing this.
It would go like this: region>country(of origin)>make>model.
You can choose whatever region you want(Europe, U.S., etc.), basically allowing people to choose if they want to buy a certain car from a different region(example: U.S.-spec mk3 Supra vs. JPN-spec mk3 Supra).
This system could also have different cars per region(example: No Nissan Skyline in the U.S.
), but those same cars could be found by selecting another region.
Or, it could be used for something as little as which seat the driver sits in(Left-hand-drive Honda S2000s, for example)
I figure this could also be helpful if someone is looking for a particular car(year, make, model, etc.). For example, if somebody wants to recreate their U.S.-spec Mazda RX-7 from 1991(which is the FC here, but FD in GT4), they'll be able to buy that car that they want from the correct year.
Thoughts? Comments? Is this pointless?
