I have been racing a guy online fairly regularly (mostly losing to him actually). I can run with him when he's in one of his "play" cars, but when he's in his Clio it's no contest. So I jokingly asked him to share his Clio setup and to my surprise he did. I tuned up one of my Clios to match his and gave it a try. I found his setup didn't suit my driving style at all (he's smooth and I'm spastic).

So keep in mind that when using other people's setups you may find that it doesn't suit your driving style. I've had my best luck by reading the tuning guides and tweaking my own setup until I find what works for me.

As a bonus this really forces you to pay attention to all the handling characterists of your car and helps you refine your driving technique at the same time.

Oh so true. A tune is not fast by itself; if it does not fit the driver's driving style, it's a pain in the bottom and you're better off using another one. This is reflected in the Garage Showdowns. Just check the GTLM tunes by the different garages, they're all completely different, because they support different driving styles.

Yes everyone has a slightly different driving style that makes having a "one setting fits all" a little impractical, so having garages specify basically which style of Driving there settings are most appropriate too is a great idea.;)

I am agri whith your opinion it is true ; each mind is a world ; and each driver is a world too
are you happy for learned it ? enjoy it

Agreed. I like my cars that are unstable and like to easily oversteer at an entrance of a turn and be able to make quick transitions from right to left turns.
