Hi,

I've just bought the Logitech Wingman MOMO Force (E-UG8) steering wheel for the equivalent of 45 USD. I am told it will work well with GT5, but I'm not sure how well. Does anyone have this wheel? I know it was primarily designed with PC in mind, but will it work with some other PS3 games?

Plug it in, go for a drive & find out!

That'd be the best, but I'm waiting for it to be shipped ;)

Ah, I see. Then what you need is some patience. :p

Seriously though, it should work fine, apart from not being able to map the buttons (as that wheel isn't available in the GT5 menu).

It is primarily a PC wheel but it worked with GT3 where it pretended to be a Logitech Driving Force.

It should work with GT5 but it only has 200-ish degrees of steering lock so I don't know how GT5 will relate to that.

Alright then.

- it does work with GT5 - full lock from left to right is about 200-220 degrees, there is no dead zone and force feedback strength can be set in options
- buttons cannot be mapped, but some of them work by default (reverse, handbrake, wipers and pause) - not that big problem with a gamepad connected to port 1
- build quality is fantastic for this sort of money - there is leather, aluminium, stainless steel paddles and really solid plastics, the whole thing feels as it was new

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm off to do some laps :)

I believe it was officially launched in 2004, but the one I got had spent 4 last years locked in the closet and I can't tell how old it is. Performs no worse than G25 that I played with at my colleague's.

Oh, and the full lock is 270 degrees.
