Man that sucks. Sorry to hear that. And I do understand how it feels. Many people say they understand but they don't know how it feels to lose someone close to you. I do. My dad passed away in 98. It was hell when I found out. Trust me man it does get better. Just give it time. Time is the only cure for it.

oh, i know how you're feeling ....over Christmas 2 of my friends were killed in car accidents .......3 days apart!! ........one was going to Ottawa to finish up his exams and thick slush on the road pulled him in to oncoming traffic ......he hit a pick-up head on ........the other friend was coming home from Winnipeg for Christmas and that's along drive ......he was coming for the other guys funeral and being so tired, dozed off and fell asleep ......he hit a transport truck head on
totally senseless deaths...

it's totally insane ........these high speed head-on collisions could totally be avoided if the government wasn't so cheap ........the single lane highways are the worst ......they need to become double-laned with a barrier of some sort just like the major highways .....i just wonder how many more innocent people have to die before something is done

did you at least have a chance to say bye to him then? :(

I saw him the night before. It was really hard for him to even notice it was me in the room. After my mom and eye were done visting we went home and I would cry for a half hour. It made me feel better. The hospital was 45 minutes away from my house and I would go every night knowing I had school the next day. Sometimes we wouldn't get home to after midnight. He was well worth it.

This disease was called Vasculites(SP?). He had it two years before he started to get really sick. The disease was supposed to go right to his heart and kill him but it went to his feet first. I was always very close with him.

His big toe on his right foot turned black one week and he took pills and other medication but it didn't get better. He got that toe amputated. He was doing good for a while after that. He ran basketball league. We became even closer. Soon the disease got worse.

I was laying on his bed one Sunday when he starting complaning that he could feel his left side of his body. He had had a stroke and was rushed to the emergency hospital where he was put in Intensive Care. He was in IC for 6 weeks straight and was not very good a communicating. In the beginning he was able to talk a little bit. But soon he wasn't. He knew when my mom was there when she rubbed her fingers that had some water on them across his lips. It was horrible. He couldn't do anything for himself.

One night after visiting him we went home and I asked my mom what would happen to our family if he died. And the next morning all the lights were on at 5:30 in the morning and my mom was crying with her friends I woke up to find out that my dad died earlier that morning.

well, i am truely sorry ......i think it would be the worst thing in life to lose a parent, brother, or sister

Trust me it is. It was really bad when I was younger and they had the bring you dad to school days. That used to really hurt me.

Now I currently have a loving step-dad that I love very much. He treats us very well and does as much as he can.

I agree with this.. my father died when I was 16 and even now, it can be hard to deal with. Things will look up, though. Sometimes talking about it helps :)

I'm very sorry to hear about this... :( I'll be sure to remember you and your friend in my prayers tonight.
