i think that the old Pulsar SSS had the SR20 but only in DE form. I dont know if the EXA pulsar's had the SR20 but they were probably only in australia. Also the 180sx, SilEighty and OneVia had the SR20DET:cool:

OneVia was not ever a factory sold car
Sileighty was barely
i wouldnt count them

some people may know the N14 GTI-R as the Baby Godzilla, because its 4WD turbo charged

i always thought nissan made the OneVia seeing as how they made the SilEighty! I've only ever seen one OneVia look-alike and that was on a video. Hey, Viper, do you get Hot4s? i dont but i saw a GL Pulsar with full GTI-R AWD running gear and the SR20, it made a change from the normal ricer stuff

sileighty was not a full production car, i was modified after production and then sold at nissan dealers

onevia was never actually made by nissan(maybe they didnt like the look?)

no i dont get HOT 4's (most of it has nothing but posers), i know that SR20's fit in a few other nissan models like Nissan NX which can fit an SR20DET straight in with hardly any mods (only if you have the GTI-R version SR because the FWD, ive got a mate thats done it)

I'm pretty sure the bluebird (FWD) came with an SR20. I also think the 200sx came with the SR20de (no turbo) and possibly the Infiniti G20, but I'm just guessing on that one.

the SR20DE came in the (us models;) ) 91-94 sentra se-r's, 2000nx's, infiniti G20's, 95-9? 200sx se-r's, none of the us 240sx's came with SR20DE's them stock. thats all of the us models i can think of that came with them. i don't think any us cars came with the SR20DET in them.

Some late model sentra SE-Rs had an SR20DE (not turbo charged thus no "T") The Pulsars (S12) came with a CA18DE (not turbo charged thus no "T") Usually the JDM Spec SR20DET, CA18DET cant pass emissions here in the states. The 240sx (180sx or Silvia line) came with the KA24DE.

A ONEVIA is a S13 Silvia with a 180sx face. These exist (89-91 240sx)

A SILEIGHTY does not exist officially. It was started because of drifters in Japan kept getting into accidents destroy front ends. It was cheaper to install a S13 front than a 180sx front, thus this came.

So in North America, only CA18DE, KA24DE, and SR20DE exist in a few models. If you hear any of these names with a "T" at the end, it means it's turbo charged and can be Euro Spec, or JDM Spec.

Wow Im such a 240sx=180sx=200sx=Silvia geek...

You more or less nailed it Wanna B Drifter.

91 - 94 Sentra Se-R, 91 - 02 Infiniti G20, 91 - 93 NX2000,
95 - 98 200sx Se-R, 98 - 01 Sentra SE all have the fwd SR20DE stock. Overseas they got the engine in the Pulsar/Sunny Gti-R, Almera GTi, Pulsar SSS, Avenir, Bluebird, Presea, Primera (which is our G20), and probably some others.

The rwd SR20DE was found in the Silvia J and Q after 91.

nope, onevia i believe is a japanese term if i remember correctly, i had a friend tell me what it meant.... or a japanese drifter slang whatever...he came from japan so ithink my source is more reliable

onevia

is from ONE EIGHTY
and SILVIA

ONE EIGHTY front SILVIA car

ONE-VIA

and im still sure it is the other way around

your right about the front ends getting damaged, but it was the sileighty that went into production

here is a quote

"Simple. Since the front end parts of Silvias were less expensive than that of the 180SX, and just happens to simply bolt on without many complicated steps, many 180SX drivers found themselves fixing their cars, replacing damaged front ends with ones that of a Silvia.

And just like that, a trend was born. 180SX drivers who didn't have busted-up fronts were replacing their front ends with Silvias. I wouldn't be surprised if some people intentionally drifted horribly to dent their front ends, just so they could have an excuse to hop on the trend. Before you knew it heavily modified street racing 180SXs with Silvia front ends were cruising around the streets of Japan.

It wasn't too long before Nissan realized what was going on around them, and they realized that: they weren't making any money from all of this! So, plans began to move... it wouldn't be good for Nissan's reputation to have built a car which was inspired by illegal street racing, so they kept production of the Sileighty very low key. And if I'm not mistaken, anywhere from 400-4,000 manufactured Sileighties were every made."

ONEVIA is a silvia with a zenki - kouki 180sx front and a S13 rear.

Right Ting Boy I'm just gonna nick you're thread for a bit, because I've got a really stupid question that was not worth making a new thread for....
Can someone please explain to me what the hell dump valves are???
I hear them being talked about quite a lot of the time and hvae no clue as to what they are. Tried a search but did get a clear explanation. Anyone???

Dump valve, blow-off valve, recirculation valve, compressor bypass valves all basically serve the same purpose. When a turbo engine is under boost, pressure builds up and closes the valve. When you lift off the gas or boost pressure drops, the valve opens and the pressurized air is released. By venting the pressure the valve reduces the stress on the turbine and other parts of the turbo system. Dump valves vent this air to the atmoshphere and create the loud "whooosh" sound. Recirculation valves or compressor bypass valves vent the air back into the intake. On my Evolution, I have a Forge Motorsports recirculation valve. My valve recirculates the air back into the turbo inlet and with an open cone filter intake, I get a loud whoosh sound.

Ahh, okay cheers Ser0119.
That makes sense although this bloke was trying to tell me that he put dump valves on an ordinary mini cooper.:odd: . And if you need dump valves on turbo cars then that wouldn't make sense. Hmmm.....:odd:
