Can anyone help? I am trying to get Gold in the Endurance race Le Mans 24hr but I always come 2nd or 3rd. My car is the Peugeot 908 HDi FAP.

Practice your driving, Ive golded the Le-Sarthe event with a stock 908 only oil change and setup.

Try this.

I will add this to the tune, the rear suspension sits very low and front higher when it gets dark your mainbeam headlight does point skyward so either turn up the screen setting inrace menu/adjust tv brightness or level up the suspension, My choice would be alter the inrace screen setting when it gets dark.

Use a "wide" transmission setup on the Peugeot 905, it is extremely light so it's tires last forever, and with that wide tranny setup it gets great fuel economy on the long straights! I think I set my top end at 249 then stretched out the last two gears so it's top speed was around 301mph. That way you still have the "pull" on the slow parts.

He is using a 908 not the 905.

He is using a 908 not the 905.

I know, that's why I clearly said use the 905, it is what I feel to be the best choice for that race.

Well the 905 and 908 are good cars to use, but in my opinion they will get boring quickly, specially on the sound part.

In my opinion, best choise for a long race like 24 hr Le Mans is the 787B! :P
Just be gentle on the throttle (2nd gear mostly), as its very tail happy there. :scared: :dopey:

Are u sure, that you are talking about A-Spec and not B-Spec race?

I can´t belive you have tried it 5 times by yourself

I have tried it 5 times but not in a row. I usually save the game after every 2-3 hrs each day, otherwise I would be in the game forever!!! :dunce:

you should be able to win the 24hr with the 908 no problem mate, I won first time by about 2laps.

IIRC I was running about 700bhp, and top speed was maxing out at a little over 240mph I think.

As the guys say, just be easy on the throttle out of some of the turns. Once you settle into your "zone" you will soon see your lead start to open up. It took a fair few laps for me to catch the top 2 guys, but once I did, I nevre looked back. On top of all of this, I ran the race without stopping.....

It might help if you better specify the parameters your using:

I.e.
- Have you applied any upgrades?
- Have you tried any tunes?
- Have you adjusted the top speed on the transmission?
- What tyres are you using (game version as well)?
- Are you driving legally (keeping to track limits)?
- Are you having trouble with the handling, tyre wear or just general lap times?

This race is not necessarily difficult, and certainly shouldn't be an issue in an LMP unless you dislike driving them. If you don't like the handling of the LMP try a different car - a Mazda Furai, Team Oreca Viper, Maclaren F1 etc... are all plenty quick enough to win.

Otherwise, you could try deliberately starting with a wet race, based on experience it is much easier in the wet, and offline, the Racing Wet tyre is never the fastest tyre around this track, whatever the conditions (based on experience).

I´ve done the 172 laps on Suzuka last week and I have choosen R1 tyres, because I can stay 3laps longer on the track as with R3 tyres, but I´m 3 sec slower with the R1 tyres, but in relation how long a pit stops takes I´m overall faster with the R1 tyres
