pretty much anything can be rallied... there are people rallying 50's and 60's cars even today!

I think it's great that an electric car can enter a rally...

Though this is worrying as one day all motorsport will be electro or Hydrogen powered.... That probably means a big drop in bhp.....

I also heard of domestic cars being run on chip fat, alcohol and LPG is popular

Granted a 60hp rally car wouldn't have nearly the acceleration of its higher powered peers, but on the upside I'd bet that whoever drove it would never have to let off the gas in the corners... that's what made the Mini so popular.

Okay, so I'm kinda reaching with that, but at least you gotta give them credit for trying something new. Considering there are Neon rally cars out there too, it wouldn't be too much of a stretch to think that a few other compacts and subcompacts would be tried out eventually.
