A very simple way to make your wheel and pedal vibration.

First of all, English is not my native language, i try my best to make you guys understand what i am talk about...

I am G27 owner, never try other wheel before and don't know if it got any vibrate feature or not. With G27 i can't feel any vibration when drive straight along the road, so i figure out to use aquarium air pump to make my wheel and pedal feel like the vibration is came from car engine. (Note: Not road feel) ...I just put the air pump on the table near to my wheel and put another one at bottom of pedal, surprisingly my hands and feets obviously can feel the vibration from the wheel and pedal, that is pretty cool! You guys must try it !

1st Tips- I terminate right side of the pump functioning to result it feel more vibrate. I don't know why, but its feel more vibrate when only single pump are working.

2nd tips- You will get more vibrate feel if the base of the air pump are installed by rubber pad, i cut off 4 rubber feet make it flat as possible, this will result the vibration has better transmission to the table ,wheel and pedal.

As you can see my air pump has low medium high 3 level, i got an ideal, when you are not press accelerator, the air pump are running low, when you press accelerator then it will running high, i believe this will make the driving feel more realistic... Now the problem is how to make it works? What device have to assemble into pedal to control air pumps power? I have no electrical knowledge background , i appreciate if someone are interesting help me figure out how to do it and share with us. :)

I have a Playseat Revolution Gran Turismo where the pedals are mounted on an angled plate so I can 'rest' them on top of my sub woofer.

Of course, the vibrations are linked to how loud I have the sub but can still create some vibrations which add to the experience!

Nice idea! I wonder how you could vary the speed of the pump in relation to how much pedal you've got applied. I have been wondering for a while if the G27 gets feedback from the game about the exact RPM of the car for the LEDs, or whether the LEDs only respond to set thresholds instead. If it were the former then it should be possible to hack out an RPM value for external dials and feedback devices, though the latter could work well too.

Still, a more basic system based on the throttle position alone would be far more immersive than without it.

Depends how strong the pump you use, 1 unit for steering and 1 for pedal already good enough. Have you try it? if so tell me how you feel...About the speed control by feedback from RPM is very nice ideal, but for me that is impossible mission. :(

Ah, I can't afford anything like this now, but I might consider it in a few months. I'm still 'saving' for replacement monitors for my PC, the only problem being my girlfriend's scary ability to find infinite other ways to spend the money!
