Can someone please tell me what lap times the A1 Formula GT cars do on their world championship tracks, esp. Tokyo?

Just wondering what lap times they do so I can find a car that will be a good match for them, without murdering them.:)

Cheers.

A1? You mean AI (Artificial Intelligence), surely?

A good place to start would be the Race Reports forum. Find threads for Formula GT (I suspect "Formula" would yield some results, but "GT" is both too short and too common for the Search function) and you'll find both full race and fast lap times for at least those who've driven it (and can probably extrapolate AI performance from that).

Not exactly a good advice for someone that wants competitive racing, dennisw... Time has shown us than even Bob sucks when compared to the AI.

I would do what Famine suggested, flyingkiwi. Remember also that lap times isn't the only thing that makes races competitives, but pit stops too, which Formula cars in R3 do a lot. Heck, I won the Sarthe race with an Audi R8 on R2 tires for 200 A-Spec points just because they pitted to often. So you can see where I'm going ;)

i meant free run:tup:, then write the times down, and compare:dopey:

Free run? That he runs the time himself? That still wouldn't be of any help for him, since what he wants is to know the lap times of the AI, not himself

I think dennisw is getting at the fact that Bspec Bob uses the same lines and style of driving as the AI does, so an easy simulation of AI characteristics is to choose free run, go B Spec and see what lap times he pulls out.

At least, I think that's what he means...

Pit strategy is a big one, when doing the FGT championship.

See this compiled by Smallhorses, regarding NTSC and PAL pit schedules for the AI. Very useful.
