about DFP gears

Im going to assume that the weight of the DFP does not matter to most of us.

I am wondering if any one with access to a cnc or water jet machine would be able to machine replacement gears made out of metal. I believe that it would let the DFP be more abusable. I believe there is a market for it. I would be willing to pay 20-30 dollars for a set of gears, which im sure would be much cheaper to manufacture and ship. Instructions could be written up and posted on GT planet.

I know that many people have either grinded their gears, lost teeth or broke the gear itself, and are forced to either buy a new DFP or go on an endless search for replacement parts. Alll that would be necessary would be someone with decent CAD skills and some one with a cnc machine or a flowjet.

I am just wondering how many people would be willing to puchase replacement gears for your dfp?
