I made this thread because I think my dreams and nightmares are pretty abnormal.

My family and I all dream in color, but most people have black and white dreams.
What color are your dreams? Also, in my dreams, I can determine where I am even though I'm not used to it, like if I go to the Bronx in my dreams, it doesn't feel weird. Another thing is that my dreams are so intricate, I see things that I usually don't notice but I know is there. For example, when I have a dream in my house, the mirror in the dining room is always there, but I usually forget that there is even anything on the wall.

What are your dreams and nightmares like?

I dream in color. I didn't quite understand what you meant by going to the Bronx, but if it is anything like in my dreams, where I am in my house (which is not what my real house looks like) and it doesn't feel strange or anything, then I can relate to it as well.

My nightmares are usually school related, things that I don't want to happen . I can't remember the last time I actually dreamt about something that could actually scare me in real life. As for my dreams, the only ones that are interesting are those in which I realize I'm dreaming. Then it's only a matter of time until I find what I'm looking for around the corner.

I'm like that sort of, but I wake up before "What I'm looking for" occurs.

My dreams are in colour... But the colours aren't quite normal. They're either under saturated or over saturated in comparison to reality. Sometimes it's quite cartoon-like actually. The only time that they have been normal is in a music dream of going out onto stage for a proper crowd.

I strangely do not have dreams very often.

I seem to day dream alot though of being in a war zone.

Sometimes in my dreams I go to places that exist in real life. I have been to them places in real life. For example I have dreams that I am at school and in my dreams my high school and primary school joined together like both of them schools in one, even tho in real life they are around 2km apart. I dream in colour and I have had quite a few Deja vu experiences as well. And I have also had dreams where I can hear as well, quite weird.

Most of my dreams is based on real locations according to memory, and many of them are in color. Sometimes I can even capture the ambiance, which also relies on memory to actually generate. My nightmares has a similar effect from regular dreams, but I always seem to wake up right before something bad happens. I spot myself sweating and kind of frightened afterwards.

This EXACTLY describes mine, except that some colors from places I've been in real life are darker then what they appear in my dream.

I constantly dream of my school; most of the time only things like hallways are accurate. One time my dream was a mix of "Quarantine" and school, specifically one part where me, some friends, and teachers are in a room watching what a person is seeing in the hallways with night goggles, and he gets knocked over.

Sometimes I play video games so much that in my nightmares, I would use a controller to exit the situation. I would either wake up, or it wouldn't work and I got killed by something random. I rarely have fun dreams, and I usually die and wake up.

Once when I was little, I had a dream that I was on a bridge in a star wars: battlefield 2, and some fat guy from a Spongebob episode was eating me! When I woke up the side where I was getting "eaten" was burning, like warm blood...

I find that I die in almost 80% of my dreams... :indiff:

I had some crazy dreams last night. Pretty scary even. I usually do. Side effect of meds. In colour though, and usually manipulatable.

I dream in color. Sometimes, however, my dreams predict the future. One time, I had a dream in which I was playing Civilization 5 and my units were in a certain formation, along with my cities. Next time I get on, I play a while and find out that everything was exactly how it was in my dream. Weird, huh?

It's probably something that comes from my father's biological family, as he can predict what happens in sports, movies, etc, right from the start.

I've never heard of a dream that isn't "abnormal", but by "abnormal", I assume you mean in relation to your previous dreams.

Well, according to the past few posts, that doesn't seem to be the case. And just to add to that list, I dream in color as well.

Anyway, I must say that I probably have the most boring dreams imaginable. You'd figure that because I'm dreaming my imagination would run wild (Especially when you consider the fact my college major relies on my ability to be creative). However, my dreams are either comprised of me trying to accomplish a seemingly pointless task before I inevitably wake up, or I'm simply walking around an unknown area doing completely useless things with people I usually know.

I once had a dream where I interacted with everyone and everything as if I was in Fallout 3. My life was normal, I was doing something with my mates, but everytime i did something I would get a message

"Finished Football practice: +5 Strength, +5 Speed, -10 Energy, -1 HP, +10 EXP"

Whenever I talked to someone I always had a 3rd person view of the situation, and I had to pick from a table of options regarding what I could say. Sometimes i got to pick, other times, no. Anytime I needed something from my bag or pockets, I had to go to some form of Inventory screen. It was a bit unnerving, and now that I've told my friends, It's a sort of in-joke. Randomly, we'll put up a list of attributes for something we do, and then we all laugh at my expense. Brilliant stuff.

I have crazy dreams in colour and they are so damn real.

The immortal Mitch Hedberg sums it all up really:

"I hate dreaming because when you want to sleep, you want to sleep. Dreaming is work. Next thing you know, I have to build a go-cart with my ex-landlord."

RIP Mitch

I can never remember any of mine, but when I do they're in color & always really weird. Like the other night I dreamed I found a bunch of treasure hunts in a store while looking at Hot Wheels, there was also some older '90s HW's there... and nobody in the store.. why? I do not know, that's like the last thing I've been thinking about lately.

This other time I dreamt it was hot inside my house, and I had a fan on me but the heat wouldn't go away. Soon after I woke up and realized I was wearing a sweater & was all sweaty - Explains the dream I guess lol.

Most of my dreams are really violent and involve rather disturbing themes. Says a lot about my sub concious I think.

Hair that kinky doesn't just come from nothing.

I usually always see in perfect colour. In certain dreams (usually involving my girlfriend, or any vehicle), it doesn't feel hazy at all. I can see and feel everything. I've had two particular dreams, one involving me as a passenger in a futuristic Ferrari (F70 maybe? :sly:), and me in the driver's seat of an Aston Martin DB9. I actually felt the g-forces, and the spine-tingling sound of the V12s were so realistic. Usually, if there's a place I know, it appears rather different from how it actually is, usually greener, more developed, and futuristic.

Nightmares are a rarity, thankfully :D I really do not remember the last time I saw one.

I had an odd dream last night.

Got into a massive argument and got Banned from GTP.

:odd:

Hope it does not come true. :scared:
