Hello.

I hadn't been able to participate in the beta, so I have some doubts after all the video stuff I'm watching, and that no one is commenting.

In games like Project Cars and Assetto Corsa, the game adjust your steering wheel to the real dgrees of rotation each car you use has in real life. So for instance, I as a t300 gte user, set my wheel at 1080º, and then the game do the rest for me (for example activating the soft lock at 360º when I'm driving a Lambor Huracan GT3; 540 on a Pagani Huarya; full 1080º on a Ferrari F40, etc).

When I see GT sport cockpit camera in action, I see the cars have very little steering rotation even if you're using a wheel, and not only that it seems to be the same for each car, giving the impression that this game doesn't adjust to the real wheel steering rotation for each car.

How does a steering wheel work in this Gran Turismo game?

It works just as in GT6 ... different classes/cars got different degrees of rotation ie. Focus n400 is 900 degrees , AMG gt3 is 540 ... yet wheel animation is (still) only 200 degrees lock to lock , hence visually doesn't match irl wheel rotation)

Doesn't bother me, since I'm not looking at the wheel on screen, but what it is outside cockpit, but I wouldn't mind option to turn wheel off (make it invisible).

ok so they didn't even bother making the wheel animation match your physical wheel, once again

Is there soft lock?

Right, the on screen wheel animation does not match the range of motion of the actual wheel, in your hands.

Driving in 'cockpit view' is too unrealistic, in this game anyway, so I don't use it, and so don't really care about wheel/driver's hands animation.

Hopefully in the actual release version, there would be an option to turn wheel & hands off when in cockpit view.
(And hopefully there will be triple screen support, and/or VR, so that cockpit view is usable.)

My T300 seems to line up just fine with the hands on the wheel, and the auto DOR seems to work as its supposed too also. I have feeling this changes per wheel.

As Gregor said, if you are using auto DOR, and it's working, your wheel should rotate 800 to 900 degrees for the n.300 & Gr.4 cars, and somewhere around 540 degrees for the Gr.3 cars.

Are you saying your animated wheels in cockpit view ever rotate more than about 90 degrees to the right or left of center?
I've never seen it, and I don't think they do.

So, not in synch with what your hands are doing.

Why isn't there any more settings for steering wheels you can't adjust the sensitivity.. I have to keep putting my t300 wheel in mode 3 or I'd won't go round the corners like it dose with a controller
