Finally got a G25. Nice materials. I see what people were saying about the stick shift, and its lack of resistance. Haven't used it yet. Building a dedicated space in the office in the closet. Guess that makes me a closet racer? LOL. Anyway, got the G25, and a 24", 1080p monitor for the setup. Hope to have it all up an running tonight. Here is a couple of pics thus far...

Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics. Plan on adding a shelf above the monitor for auto-x awards and diecast models (have quite a few). PS3 will go on the left. Eventually, will have a PC to run Rfactor, too. I am very excited to try out the wheel!

Pretty nice set up, as well congrats into getting a decent wheel. I have it for over 1 year and LOVE IT! Still play the heck out of it. I did a mod for shifter resistance.. so if you like there are numerous sites you can GOOGLE to see how to.

Cool car models, so what are those auto-x awards?

By the way, is it your first wheel? It will take you few days or weeks to really get hang of it.

You might wanna post that because racesim central is down and out .

I can't find any pics.. Basically when you take apart the shifter, you will find the spring and ball. All you need to do is fill out the white plastic where spring is half way like put some kind of screw or piece of metal or plastic, but make sure it fills the way that when you put spring back on it wont pass the metal you just install in the space.. then put spring back in and ball.. and close re-assemble the shifter.. and that's how you get more resistance.. it wont work THAT stiff.. but better then original.

I meant I have alot of car models. LOL. Have a few auto-x awards as well, though. Auto-x wise, quite a few 1st place in the local region, a few divisional awards, and two Nationals trophys, 9th in STS, and 7th in CS. Last cone of the last run, day one, kept me out of the top 5 in CS. :grumpy:

Not my first wheel. Had a really old DF awhile back. Barely used it, as I had no place to have it up and running. So far, getting pretty used to the G25. Trying to stick with the clutch for every car it actually comes in. Daytona is no problem, but Suzuka might take awhile.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Oh, and I have both the shifter and brake pedal mods book marked. Did that right after I ordered the wheel. Might do the shifter one, but don't see the brake mod as necessary yet.

So you make the car models? Pain them? Or just buy them and collect then try to show off who has more models? How does that work?

And Yeah using clutch took me a while too, because in real life I never driven a Manual car. But sooner or later it really became a second nature to me. Too bad in GT5P clutch only works as in ON and OFF button. In game like GTR Evo, it has pressure point.

Pretty much all of them were bought done. Metal diecast. I don't worry about how many I have, just get the models of cars I like. Everything from vintage gasser drag cars, to modern exotics. Just my way of owning a car I probably won't ever own in real life. :sly:

Yeah, its weird. The car will actually heel-toe for you. Pedals are not well placed for this, I have noticed as well. Hopefully I will have a PC to use as a dedicated gaming PC, so that I can run rFactor on it.

I have few models myself :) But not that HUGE collection yet.

You can apply heal and toe in GT5P as well, just turn on Clutch.. by pressing Triangle button (very top black button) whenever you are in a race. You will have to press it every single race you want it ton.. to turn it off.. press it again

But yeah the setup is bit odd for heal and toe.. but I got use to it. But I am getting ClubSport peddles with RS wheel, and with the ClubSports you can adjust each pedal on how far in or out you want.. so ill move the Gas bit IN so that once I press on Brake pedal it will align with the gas.
