Absolute Coincidence!

I went to my doctor today (which is a 10 kilometer drive from my place) for a checkup. the nurse who had my file pulled my family and I aside and was excited. Apparently the exact same house where I live in right now was her aunt's home! It was her aunt's house before we moved in. she said she visited there all the time in the summer and even asked about its condition (It's in great condition, we recently redid the bathroom). This was a huge coincidence!

Do you have any crazy coincidental stories you'd like to share?

That's weird. I've had stranger stuff happen though. My mom's grandma (my great grandparents) owned a house near us. Then it got sold to someone on my dads side of the family and no one ever knew until they 2 families got tied together lol.

Same with another time but with great aunts.

INCREDIBLE!

Oh wait, you live on Antarctica. How many people actually live there?

When my family and I were working hard to pay for our new house we were short £10k for a payment and had exhausted all options. We would lose the house if we didn't pay within a few days. My dad got a call the night before we had to pay from his school friend who hadn't been in contact for over 25 years. My dad told him the situation and he wired the money the next day with no catches. The strange thing was that we were in China and this guy John (mega props to him) just happened to call at the right time after 25 years!

Another thing that is strange, among the many coincidences that I've experienced is that a few years back I was having a beer in town and a new guy in town asked me if he could join me. I said "OK" and we got talking. Turns out he lived 4 doors down from my last address in London. This happened in China. Bizarre.

The house i'm in now (and have been since mid 2008) is right beside the one my grandma used to own/rent, and Dad etc have stayed in this house when they were kids, as they knew the kids living here.

The first landlord of this house (when i moved in) is the aunty of one of the guys i used to work with.

Then she sold it and my cousin (three or so days younger than me) bought it.

I think more family on Dad's side may have rented/lived in here for a short time?

And the people who lived here before me are known to another person i used to work with, which helped a lot when we got mail addressed to them.

Small world really. :)

Sort of thread revival.

but what I find most shocking about the ISIS attacks on France is that Yugioh ARC-V pretty much predicted it (sort of):
  • The city that was attacked, Heartland (from the Xyz Dimension) has a tall tower called Heartland Tower at the heart of the city, reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower
  • The attack came from people from differences in terms of groups (ISIS and Duel Academy (from the Fusion Dimension) and went all out and attempted to kill anyone on site (though in Arc-V they were turned into cards and stuffed into a special machine) without any mercy or regrets what so ever with some enjoying it.
  • The attackers had discriminating attitudes (ISIS against pretty much everyone else and Duel Academy against Xyz Users)
  • People from different places started to unite and try to fight back against the opposition and some people adopting the eye for an eye attitude while some showed discriminating attitudes towards Muslims/Fusion Users.
Probably more details that make this not look like a prediction but I was kinda shocked by these similarities as it made ARC-Vs plot feel more real.

I sold something on eBay, maybe 3, 4 years back. I think I packaged the item at work & I was going to mail it later.

Later that morning, this older coworker is all excited & kind of in my face, asking me what's going on & why I'm shipping this package to this address.

I'm in Oregon. Shipping address was far, like Nebraska or something like that. Anywho, this eBay item was going to his old apartment from years ago. :D

Oddly enough, we watched Team America with the eldest the other night with the opening scene showing the terroist attack on Paris. He said "Woah this is like a premonition, you get me!?"*

*He's 16, white and from East Yorkshire. I have no idea why he speaks like that.

My siblings talk the same, and they are from the East Midlands. Must be the TV... XD

As for strange coincidences, try this one out:
My dad has recently got a new job over here in the Midlands. His former boss is from Liverpool. However, 25 or so years ago his boss lived in London, only a few minutes away from where my dad lived. Coincidence? Maybe just a small one. This is where it gets strange. There was an incident on the train line in the area with a gunman and everyone had to be evacuated off the trains and out of the stations. My dads former boss was at one of those stations. One of the police officers that was directing the passengers out? My dad. This guy walked right past my dad over two decades ago. And they only found this out when he took my dad for a leaving meal, after seven years of knowing each other... :D

Just remembered what a friend (lets call him person A) told me.

He made a joke to a online friend in America that the next Lunar Eclipse would end, but that friend believed it and started spreading the theory. It got to a girl in my Japanese class who had online friends in America and she told the same Person A about it.

I'm not saying it's a coincidence but one time I was at a bar not having much luck with women, so I picked out this big wad of notes to get myself a drink, then suddenly I had loads of women around me. Weird, huh?
Whoa, weird! I've had the same thing happen to me!

I wanted to cross the road, but there were a load of cars going along stopping me crossing. Suddenly they all stopped some time around when all the light around the party junction went red. Amazing coincidence helped me across the road.

Oh, I have a good one. My neighbor, known to us as Zenek, lives all alone; , he's in his 60s and apparently he only has one brother left. Kinda sad, but he's a very nice gentleman. Will always say "Good morning!" back! :D I occasionally see him leave his apartment with a sizeable bag, probably on his way to work.

Now, high school reunion a few months back. We're all having fun talking to each other, slightly tipsy and heartily laughing at our lame jokes.

The topic of the conversation randomly flows into exercising, going to the gym etc. And one of us says "...yeah I've taken up exercising recently. It's all pretty cool and nowhere near as heavy as I thought it would be, actually. BUT the dude that leads my group is kinda old-ish and grumpy at times. Still like him a lot though! And, damn, he's buffed for his age I tell ya!"

I jokingly reply with: "Old-ish and kinda buffed? Yeah right, what's the next thing you're gonna tell me, that his name is Zenek?"
"What the hell, it is!"
"OH MY GOD HE'S MY NEIGHBOR! ಠ_ಠ"

So yeah. My neighbor is a trainer at the local gym.

Ah, good times. Hands down one of the most positively strange conversation I've ever had

A couple years ago I ran into someone I knew at a bed and breakfast in Vancouver Island. We both live in the same town in a different country about 1500 miles away from where this happened.

A friend of mine once lived in the same house that I'm currently living at.

Not much of a coincidence, but it counts.

Once bought some Initial D manga off Trade Me (NZ's version of eBay). Said person was in the same suburb of Wellington as me. He flicked his email address over and it seemed really familiar. While arranging a time to pick up the goods I thought I'd confirm if it was just a weird coincidence that his email was the same as a username I knew from here. Turns out it wasn't, and that @Tangled Web, someone that I greatly looked up towards his photography skills back in my early days of membership here lived no further than a five minute walk!

I had a teacher in the eighth grade that lived in the same neighborhood that I did in Houston. A few years later me and my family went on a vacation to Disney world, but while I was there I managed to run into the same teacher on one of the rides. I thought it was a pretty cool coincidence though.

I had a similar run-in at the Seattle Mariners baseball game. Me & bunch of friends drove up from Portland(Oregon) to Seattle(Washington), and I ended up running into my coworker at the game. It was a packed game, so there must've been around 50,000 people there. Crazy to run into someone you know in a crowd like that & so far away. Not because of that or anything, but he's a good friend of mine today, too. Groovy.

My family and I were on a skiing trip a long time ago, and my brother and I managed to get stuck in a broken elevator with no means of contacting our parents (neither of us could remember their contact details) to let them know about our predicament. As time passed, we ended up talking about our neighbors - at which point the couple stuck in the elevator with us suddenly said 'Sorry, do you know [neighbor's names]?', and managed to contact said neighbors so that they could let our parents know where we were.

This is happening too much I have a feeling I have magical powers

When I create something, it seems that idea gets used later in less than a few months.

  • I drew a fanmade game back in late 2009 which was called "Pokemon Black and White" Months later the next Pokemon game revealed was Pokemon Black and White
  • I wrote a Total Drama fan fiction where whenever a player gets eliminated, they get fired out of a Cannon. This was later used in Total Drama Pahkitew Island.
  • Couple of weeks ago, I designed a race track based off a city 15 Minutes away from me (Gosford). Turns out that last last week, V8 Supercars are planning to host a race in Gosford.

I never realised the pink Power Ranger has a skirt on until now.

Would she be a rangeress?

I once dreamnt about a red Jaguar Sovereign that crossed my path in a certain spot. The next morning that same car crossed my path in that exact spot.

I friend I went to school with, lived nearby and his parents phone number was my parents phone number +2
Fifteen years later, we both bought houses in the same suburb. His phone number now is my phone number +2
