Yeah, if performance could be improved I think this would end up being a firm favourite of mine. It's actually better than I thought it would be apart from the framerate. Detail and textures are straight from FM. It's perhaps a little overexposed, but that's an easy fix.
Who has the skills to take this track on and make it great?
I can think of at least a couple of Racedepartment regulars who could for sure, but being a conversion of another game's track, I doubt they'd touch it.

A lot of people at RD secretly like rips. I heard about Prague from a PM there.
Somebody at F1C offered to optimise Jim's FM7 Bathurst conversion so maybe they'd be willing to do the same for this one.
I'm running a 6600k/980Ti combo, both stock, and can get a smooth ASW hot-lapping experience with high settings on this track in VR in every view EXCEPT the proper hands-on-wheel cockpit view. It was exactly the same with Bathurst.
Elevated chase cam in VR is a trip, I can tell you. Whoah.
The more I lap this track the more I like it. The detail is superb. The bollards are even real physical objects that can be scattered on the track.

@Cote Dazur, your 1080Ti should give you decent performance and lots of fun. Try downloading it and reinstalling it again, it's definitely not floating in the sky.

When I try unzip the .rar in the you tube video you posted I never seem to be able to have a clean unzip, which would explain why I am missing stuff for that mod.

edit: tried one more time, this time it might work, I am getting a much bigger file. was like 440mb before, now it is over a 1gb,

edit2, working fine now.

Looks good doesn't it?

Looks amazing, even though I had to turn down most of the eye candy, since even my gtx1080ti/CV1 combo needed lower setting to keep decent fps.
This is great, hopefully it can be optimized, but even if not and just to hot lapping, it is a worthy addition to my track library.
this is from FM7, isn't it? I hope there is more to come as this is the only way to drive those in VR.

Iam gonna try the track Prague on my 2080Ti and see how it performs in 4K.

Update: The track is running badly on my system too. i7 and 2080TI. Get like 35-65 fps and lags like crazy. Shame, because it looked good and is a nice fast paced track.

That's strange, I have lower specs and better fps. I have a 1080 and an old i7 2600K and I don't go lower than 62fps alone in hotlap with dashboard cam. I don't have lags or big fps drop during the entire lap, During half of the track I'm at 90fps (capped) and often higher than 70fps. I'm running full option except reflection rendering frequency at medium with a screen resolution at 3440*1440 (nvidia 397.64 and W7). Check without any mods to see if issue could be related to external cause.

I drove that beast , The 90 quattro IMSA GTO, against the other IMSA cars at Road America earlier, lots of fun, this one has an amazing cockpit in VR and the sound is not too shabby either. :D

I have all the tracks, I particularly enjoy Calabogie, I have had tracks days there.👍

From the notes in the changelogs.txt: Audi 90 GTO IMSA - Pitone & Velos Mods Edition v.2.
All visuals and optics by Peter Utecht
That's the one. It's a great car, isn't it?
Try these tweaks I did to the driver3d ini.
The steering lock of 320 stops the driver's hands rotating at a different speed to the steering wheel (which I find to be a BIG immersion breaker in VR, when the wheel 'slides' through the hands) and the shifting tweaks look a lot more natural (I think, anyway). I like quite an early grab of the shift knob, well before the actual shift, so just increase the preload rpm if it's too early for you.

I did not even know a la Ferrari cabriolet existed before I read your post, but now, of course, I have to have it.:D
There are weird issues with the side-window glass and the mirrors (which seem permanently set on lowest quality, and don't seem to reflect vehicles).
I've no idea why ACR didn't use the same values for the glass and reflections as Kunos used on the original car (of which this is an adaption). Hopefully they'll get updated, unless there's anyone here who can do it? It's pretty great driving a LaFerrari cabrio, I'd not really driven the original Kunos car but I'm slowly working through all their production cars and enjoying it greatly. I've tended to drive mainly race-prepped cars until now.

You would think that by now, most modder would no how to do basic such as windows and mirrors, but apparently not. Sometimes I even wonder if they ever drive those cars!

It's annoying how so many obvious errors get ignored in mod releases. Flipped mirrors, visible heads, wrong seating position, opaque windscreens, untextured cockpit elements... It seems most car converters only use chase cam and never even sit in the cockpit.

for the mirrors they have not renamed the mirrors, for example in CM showroom you can see the material name is mirror_right instead of DOOR_R\GEO_Door_R\GEO_Door_R_SUB7, but on the other hand they are offering forza like modification to how the brake caliper looks. Yep, definitely back camera driving from game pad type of driver.:D

If you know where their FB page is, maybe worth to suggest that they might want to look into it.
mirrors and side window work great on the car they copied this one from

Any idea how to fix the mirrors and side window glass?

Bernese Alps and Maple Valley are also available once they get to 100 views!!

Just realised that three different routes are shown on three separate laps in the Bernese Alps video. Hopefully these can be selected as separate ribbons with roads closed accordingly.

Love that Forza tracks are finally getting converted. Though my laptop is probably way to weak to be able to play it properly. Hopefully Rio is next - I quite enjoyed it on Forza Apex.

Here's hoping for GRID tracks to be converted next. I already have rFactor version of all GRID 1 city tracks, and 3 of 4 GRID 2 point to point tracks in AC (only missing Cote d Azur).

hello

hello I would like to know how we extract the file once downloaded this one thank you

( mod ferrari aperta of course )
You need to unzip it into a folder first. It's a zip file inside a zip file. CM can then read the second zip file.
There's a ReadMe in there too I think, as there are paint/trim combos you can make.

Maple Valley is ready for download.
More views needed for Bernese Alps!
