Accounting for tempature, alltitude, and humidity?

None of these variables are a factor in this games physics right? That would be nuts. I wouldnt normally guesse that a sim would go to such lengths. But i started watching a replay and noticed there were differant horsepower numbers for my automobile on the track, than in the menu system. I was wondering why it was different or if its just some glitch.
anybody?

Power values vary from garage, settings screens etc. It has nothing to do with altitude or anything like that though. This thread may help.

It has been covered a number of times before (I just had a quick search and I can't find it at the moment, but in a nutshell the figures do differ all over the place. Some are the car 'stock', some after mods but without oil, etc.

Most people tend to use the tuning screen figure as the cars 'true' power.

In regard to it accounting for temp, altitude, humidity I've not seen or experienced (or known anyone who has) anything that would indicate its a factor at all. Fingers crossed and GT5 will include it.
