This is the third season of the Australasian Championship Series for AUSTRALIAN & NEW ZEALAND PLAYERS ONLY. The Endurance round will be held earlier, the time will be set closer to the event. The Regulations will be as follows.

I will add participants on PSN once I'm sure they're competing.

Ford Falcon XR8 Race Car-640HP/1350KG-ALL PARTS INSTALLED(HIGH RPM TURBO)

CHAMPIONSHIP RULES

MINIMUM two wheels full on the track AT ALL TIMES, that means no cutting concrete at deep forest.
Clean Racing at all times, if you accidentally bump someone off, wait for them to pass you then resume racing.
MINIMUM of 2 pit stops, unless indicated otherwise for a specific round.
ALL racing tyre compounds MUST be used, unless indicated otherwise for a specific round.
NO MIXING TYRE COMPOUNDS

Pit lane open on lap 5. (If you need to pit beforehand due to damage, this is NOT classed as a used set of tyres). Pit lane closes with 5 laps remaining. (Get your last stop done before pit lane closes, if you need to enter pit lane due to damage in the last 5 laps, you must stay on the compound tyre you entered pit in)

TYRE REGULATIONS

Racing Hard, Mediums & Softs are available for use during a 'racing weekend'. A racing weekend consists of Qualifying and Racing. However there are limits to how you use these tyres. Everyone has a limited set of Soft/Medium/Hard racing tyres
(NO MIXING SETS, i.e. Softs on front and Hards on rear).

At the start of the racing weekend you will need to decide which tyre you qualify on.
Once you have chosen your qualifying tyre you MUST stick to that tyre.
You CANNOT change to a different tyre compound during that qualifying session.
You will also start the race on your qualifying tyre. The qualifying tyre and race start tyre count as 2 sets.
The tyre limits for each compound are;

Racing Softs = 2 Sets
Racing Mediums = 3 Sets
Racing Hards = 4 Sets

YOU MUST DO A MINIMUM OF 5 LAPS ON EACH SET OF TYRES

Your qualifying and race start tyre count as 2 used sets

Here is an example:
Driver A qualifies and starts on racing softs
Driver A now has 0xRS, 3xRM & 4xRH available in the race

Driver B qualifies and starts on racing mediums
Driver B now has 2xRS, 1xRM & 4xRH available in the race

In the event a driver receives damage during set changes i have allowed a buffer to combat this. If you receive damage on lap 1-3 of your new set of tyres then it will not count as a used set if you need to pit to fix damage. You may stay on that same compound. If you pit for damage on lap 5 or onwards and pit to fix the damage then that tyre will count as a used set.

YOU MUST USE AT LEAST ONE SET OF EACH COMPOUND IN THE RACE.

YOU MUST DO A MINIMUM OF 5 LAPS ON EACH SET OF TYRES (including your in and out lap).

Now here is the important part. ALL TYRE GRADES MUST BE USED DURING A RACING WEEKEND.

YOU MUST DO A MINIMUM OF 5 LAPS ON EACH SET OF TYRES (including your in and out lap)

Stewards will make a note of each driver’s tyres while watching the race replay. Penalties will be handed down if you fail to comply with series rules.
Penalties can vary from warnings, point deductions and to disqualification.

QUALIFICATION

Qualification will be a 20 minute session with the fastest lap getting pole. Remember, minimum two wheels on track.

60/60 SUPER SPRINT REGULATIONS

The 60/60 Super Sprint format is new to both V8 Supercars and the ACS.

The rounds will consist of the following schedule
-20 minute qualifying session
-Race(Part 1)-20 Laps
-10 to 15 minute "Half Time"
-Race(Part 2)-20 Laps

The results of "Part 1" will set the grid for "Part 2".
The results of "Part 2" are the results for the race as a whole.

Points will be awarded for podium finishers in "Part 1"
1st-3 points
2nd-2 points
3rd-1 point
Fastest lap points are awarded in "Part 1" AND "Part 2"

THERE ARE NO COMPULSORY PITSTOPS IN THE RACE.

All 60/60 Super Sprint rounds are MEDIUM TYRE ONLY EVENTS.

CHAMPIONSHIP POINT SYSTEM

I'm in Mij,
I'll be attempting to mind my own Falcon business for this one. :)
PS if Rager's grabbing 73 ... I'll be 37.

Hey guys
I will go the FORD CREDIT XR8.
Hey jas you will have number 5 and like it...(;)

CHEERS redness-63 (;)

Well of course I am interested, just depends on other schedules. I just need to know the round dates so I will keep checking the thread. If I can run, I'd like lexus in white w/ red rim number 5

Put me down for the Ford. The IS-F reminds me too much of my croc wrestling days, and I don't wont to have to come out of retirement. ;)

Hey Mij,
Nice idea for a series there. Shame there are not Holden and Nissan equivalents. I would like to join but unfortunately don't have the time to commit to a 3rd race series as I already race on Monday & Tuesday nights (as you can see in my signature). Perhaps I could join you once in a while as a wild card if there is space on the grid.
Cheers,
Arie

Put me in for the Lexus. I'll sort colour and number at a later date.

hoping for a good run sat nite. just started using a wheel so don't think I will be fast but hope to get more consistent. see you all there

I would like to formally register with the lexus.

Hey guys, I'll be posting the Round 1 briefing tonight, so make sure you have a look at it. Also the new 60/60 Super Sprint regulations have been edited into the thread's original post.

ROUND 1-NURBURGRING GP/F
40 LAPS

Green-Ideal passing zone
Orange-Dangerous passing zone
Red-Passing is OFF LIMITS

-My lounge opens at 8:00pm AEST, DO NOT BE LATE!!!
-40 Laps
-2 Compulsory pit stops required
-4 X Hard, 3 X Medium and 2 X Soft tyre sets available

Passing through turns 2, 3 and 4 is not recommended due to the sweeping nature of 2 and 3.

Passing through turns 13 and 14 is not recommended due to the tightness of the complex. When making a pass it is the responsibility of BOTH drivers to give racing room.

Passing through turns 8 and 9 is NOT ALLOWED, the corner is too fast and there is too much load on the cars to have two wide through there. Excessive contact in turns 8 and 9 may result if hefty point penalties.

Good luck tomorrow night guys, see you all there!

The Ford XR8 race car has unfortunately not appeared in the UCD

Please register a black Toyota #10 for me

Cheers Ven

Hey Archie, the XR8 can be obtained with a level 21 Ticket which is the prize for the NASCAR Seasonal. I'm just starting it now and will send it to you when complete.
Once you have a ticket or two, save your game and then backup your save onto a usb(or another PS3 profile).
Use the ticket and if you do not get what you want restore your save, alternatively use the square button to collect all tickets at once, then simply exit gt5(PS button > exit game) before pressing OK if you do not get it.
It could take a while or only 1 shot(all NASCAR are also Level 21).

EDIT: Ticket Sent, also shared NASCAR used for seasonal.

I am sorry but I don't think I will be able to make it tonight. Not that you would need to anyway, but don't wait for me. If I can make it I will but otherwise I should see you next week!

Apologies Mij. Have been called away for a family issue and I don't think I'll make the start. Really sorry as I was looking forward to racing tonight.

Sorry guys
