as any ever tried to go onto google earth and pedometered ( i think thats a word) the strip... Well, i guess ill be the **** to do it, and, the total is.......... .1 miles

Just to get all of it cleared out and mess up all of your tunes ( im not a troll btw), just go to special rout X (10) and figure out metric meters to miles... in fact here is the thingy...
1/4 mile = 442.36600 meters.. so, pretty much at about 203mph I'm guestimating is where you should be hitting. ( thats what i got with my tune).

I mean, who ever really thought that an ACR will only go 166mph in a quarter mile with all those tunes??/ really, the official is 189 stock sooo.....

@Swagger897

actually bro...a 1/4 mile is 402.0825 meters to be exact.

Is this a joke? Haha...

The drag strip on Indy is about 20 meters short of a full 1/4 from yellow hashed line to shadow. The only reason I know this is, some of my tunes require the car to hit redline at SSRX for the fasted ETs, and I'm about 4-500RPM short of redline at the shadow on Indy. It's definitely a lot longer than .1 of a mile, though.

I don't remember my 1/4 trap speed but I'm pretty certain It's not anywhere around 203 mph. You sure you don't mean kph?!?

And all your complex math is really unnecessary, gt5 has the ability to convert your time to standard and metric units of measurement.

Am fairly positive that my ACR over SSRX hits ~170mph.. Over Indy is ~164mph

sorry for the spelling errors, I'm typing from an iPad. What I mean is that if you were to actually try to pedometer the distance of the indy track, it is relatively close to .1 miles. maybe a bit more. but under .2 If you were to drag at the special route X or whatever, you WILL notice an increase of distance. I personally don't care that much about the Viper, but it is a very common car that is used to drag that i see often. I don't have a tune to go 200mph, but i was just saying.... it seems like that that strip that almost everyone drags at is just a little bit too small. If you ever watch NHRA or whatever its called, it still takes a while to drag with tuned cars, (not funny cars, top fuel, motos or anything of that nature) I just wanted to start a discussion explaining that it is not actually 1/4 of a mile. if i figure out how to upload an image of the length, then ill be back in a few minutes, thanks...

Most everyone knows that Indy is shorter then a 1/4 mile. And top tunes don't even come close to 203mph in a 1/4 mile. Soooo.......

Also where are you getting the information for hitting 189mph STOCK in the 1/4. I found it hits 129mph @ 11.1s in the 1/4 mile Stock.

Stock 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR

well i found that it is 11.5 seconds for the quarter. i also found a video of top gear with i believe jeremy clarkson driving the same year ACR and they always say the speed like 0-60 ( or naught- 60) and .25 mile or the full speed

also, i am talking about tuned, ( i believe so???)

You clearly said "a stock ACR".

Not sure where your confusion lies...

It's well known that Indy's distance to the shadow is much shorter than a 1/4 mile.

Some have measured the distance with the Citroen(?), actually I can't remember which car it was. But anyways, its validity has been questioned.

And I don't think Top Gear did the SRT10 ACR?

I think we have won this debate. I offer the following reasons

Contention 1- my opponent did not state evidence as to where he got his '189' mph figure.

Contention 2- my opponent is contradicting himself.

Public forum FTW :D

No, I think you guys are getting the wrong side of what this discussion was supposed to be about. It was purely informational purposes only. Not a debate.

Contention to contention 1- my adversary did not tell me that I need proof. Just go to dodge.com and find out for yourself.

Contention to contention 2- I might sound like that because I can not see my previous posts on the iPad. Sorry, tell gtplanet to allow so and then I'll win that " contention"

Like I said, purely info only, not to be discombobulated with a debate ( yes discombobulated is too a word)

And also, I was referring to the Brit top gear, no body ever watches the American one, unless it is the trucks versus the Ram, the street cars versus the Challenger, or whatever else they do that's American...

With ease. Mine hits a good 168/9 at Route X and 165 at Indy. My old tune did 167 but it pulled like a mofo. If I could get those ratios to work out with the launch I have now I'd be in the 8.990 range. Right now I run really high 8.9s and low 9.00s.
