Acura has recently been seen testing their newest Pikes Peak challenger at the infamous hillclimb. According to acuraconnected.com, this quad-motor beast is purported to be running around 1,000 bhp (and doubtless a similar level of torque, if not greater) through all four of its wheels, and has been designed to take the overall fastest title in the race to the clouds.

I stand by my prediction that the latest incarnation of the NSX will be a "hero car" in GranTurismo's future (as both the Ford GT and Corvette C7 have been), and this all-electric hillclimb monster would make a perfect addition to the rally lineup of GT, and would give the Tajima a fantastic run for its money...

A very interesting car this. Hearing it is designed to be the quickest car ever up Pikes Peak is great and certainly worth keeping an eye on. It has it's work cutout to beat Peugeot but if weight can be kept in check then it has a very real chance.

Those wheels look like something off a dodgy looking late 1990s Peugeot.

Voted, but I'm surprised that this NSX has such narrow wheels & tires...
Something tells me that they won't actually be using those wheels and tyres on the actual hillclimb. Then again, I'm sure that a little looseness in the back is sometimes beneficial to a 4-wheel-drive tarmac rally car and the easily-broken traction that such tyres offer could help with persuading the thing to rotate around some of the tighter hairpins along the course.

Sadly, this didn't happen. I first I thought it too that this could be a "hero" car of Gran turismo sport.
