Ad Hoc Party Disconnecting.. HELP

I suffer constant disconnects. I have attempted maybe 20 ad hoc races using ad hoc party and have only successfully loaded a race 3 times.

One time I got to the 5th or 6th turn on Nurburgring before it disconnected. The other two times I never left the starting line. All the other times it would disconnect while the race was loading. This all happened over several different times trying to play. It happens whether I open a garage or it's someone elses race.

I'm using a PSP1000, wired PS3 obviously. PSP battery is charged, everything seems fine.. I don't know what could be wrong. I have a decent cable internet connection, I even turned off the wireless router and bypassed my switch plugging the modem straight into my PS3. Had no effect.

Are there any settings on my PSP or PS3 that might be hindering the wireless communication between the two? Could it be my internet connection, even though it is good? I hope it's not normal haha..

Is your PSP's firmware up to date?

Make shure that your psp is linked to your ps3 for remote play. cheak on your psp settings , network settings , ad hoc mode, select Automatic. It might help for you to be the host of the race as well.

Oh man do I feel stupid. Yea that worked. I figured my PSP was up to date because I updated before instaling GT which wasn't long ago.

I didn't think there were any new updates.. I guess I'm used to PS3 telling me right when I turn the thing on.
