Hi guys. I've been noticing recently that AdBlock has been drastically increasing my load times in Chrome for Mac. I've heard that UBlock Origin has pretty much the same features as AdBlock, yet it doesn't affect your performance as much. Do any of you recommend it, and how would I go about the process of completely removing AdBlock from my Chrome extensions? Thanks in advance.

I've been using uBlock Origins for about a month now because of AdBlock doing some less than reputable things with their extension. To remove AdBlock, you just go here: chrome://extensions/ (you'll have to copy/paste that into the address bar) and for the AdBlock entry, click the trash can icon.

Ok. I'll do that tomorrow afternoon.

As for AB doing disreputable things, did you mean the creators allowing certain ads to go through?

The only ads that go through are the non intrusive ones
This can be disabled

Not that. Recently they made deals for companies to pay them and they would allow their ads to bypass the filters. Nothing to do with the non-intrusive option that's been there since 2011.

Really?
I have not stumbled upon any ads

Ok, I've downloaded uBlock Origin. Some of the terms are a little confusing, but I'm reading the explanations for them. Are there any filters I should get right away?
