Must have been thinking of all the stuff she could buy from the $10,000,000 she got from the movie.

From the preview I saw, it does look pretty crappy(even from my standards). We all know that many "star" actors do a lot of crappy, but well paying films, so he/she can go do films they want to be in that doesn't pay very well. I just hope she's getting a lot of money for it, like Ruff suggested. :D

Meh... wow, that trailer tanked quick. I was gonna say rental but screw dat ****. I'll watch Underworld again. :D

Can't Hollywood think of something different other than rebels in an Utopian society fighting against the evil overlord government?

Take my advice: Watch the original anime series.

It's based on anime? Was it any good?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! jeezzzzusss, what a pile of s**t. It looks like a cross between Equilibrium, and Star Trek. Jeez, i thought the Island and Stealth looked bad, this has just swiped the floor with them for all time pants film, even the new Doom movie looks to be better than this.

PS. im a big Star Trek fan.

Yes, it was an (American) anime. Very underground cult classic, I suppose. MTV ran it in 1995 and never finished the series.

I hate it when they leave you hanging like that. I'm still waiting for the conclusion of the UPN TV Series, "Nowhere Man". :dopey:

Except, put the TV on "mute", because that's how the original set (aired on MTV's Liquid TV in 1991) was played. No dialouge necessary, though the 1994 re-make was a hit, the words spoken are useless.

I always thought it was originally done in South Korea. Meh.

Yeh the animation sereis was by a guy called Peter Chung, he also did one of the Animatrix short films. good animation, classic. :)

its ran for 16 episodes. and the dvd version that came out in 95 can be seen from time to time on e-bay. 👍

I really don't give a flying **** how **** it is, I'm still going to watch it..

coz she's daaaaaaaaaaamn hot!.. Think Tomb Raider :sly:

If the new Doom movie is gonna be like Doom3, i'll hav 2 take extra underwear IF i watch it

dont really fancy having a face hug from a Zombie thank you!

Perhaps she is responding to Movies.com's Buzz Bin author when he said the last sentence below about her in the upcoming movie "North Country."

Monster Makeup A barely recognizable Charlize Theron gets hit on in the trailer. I hate movies that insist on teaching you a lesson. Especially when that lesson is mind-numbingly obvious. Yeah, I get it: Sexual harassment is bad. Now can Charlize go back to being a smokin'-hot babe again?

I just saw a preview commercial, OMFG... it's so much cheezier than the trailer.

As expected, the reviews are downright vicious:

Rating: "Rotten"

My favorite:

"It was so uncomfortable to watch this film, I felt like I was desperately holding back a bout of extreme diarrhea while having dinner with my girlfriend's folks for the first time."

Also:

Bad hair day

The studio didn't pre-screen this thing for the reviewers. Wise strategy...

Animes like Aeon Flux and Reign (alexander the great) always really turn me off.

But, like pupik said, the original AF was without dialogue and played in shorts on Liquid TV. After they added dialogue, it really just tanked. It was creepy enough just with the art. Jeez.

Charlize does look super fine in this film, though. Whew.

Yeah, I dont like the style. It just seems to odd. I wont go to see this movie. Only reason I could think of to go see it would be how hot she is but I'm sure I could go pick something better up from the back of family video for cheaper then the movie ticket if I felt that urge...

Did I miss something or was this movie just absolutely horrible! I was so excited to see another action movie based on a game but this was aweful!! :grumpy: 👎 👎
Good thing I only rented it for $1.50.
I will be watching Ultraviolet next but I will avoid the thread so I dont read any spoilers. Ultraviolet looks like it could very very good!

It was one of the worst sci-fi movies I have ever seen. I watched the entire Battlefield Earth, but this was even worse than that. I turned it off about 40 minutes in, about when I realized it wasn't going to get any better. It was like watching a poorly made science fiction TV show episode. Dreadful. ZERO stars.

I thought I posted my thoughts on this movie, but I guess I didn't. Anyway, one desperate night at Blockbuster, I rented this movie. I expected the absolute worst, but I ended up liking it. While this movie is full of holes, I did like some of the "future city" vision it presented. It had little bit of "Equilibrium" feel to it, plus it was nice to see Johnny Lee Miller in a major role again. I'd give it a........... "C"?

I just caught AEon Flux.

I'd rather have caught Hepatitis B.

Say what you want about Charlize, she's one sexy biatch!

I actually spent quite some time wondering what you could do with a girl with four hands.

Then I thought "Why are the clones infertile if they've not had to have the "industrial disease" cure?"

(I'd apologise for the spoiler, but "spoil" and "AEon Flux" overloads my logic processors)
