AI cars

Ok, I just searched this. So if this has been discussed, sue me.


I was talking to my buddy today, and realized that there are some cars in this game that the AI just dont use. And we realized this when talking about the Tickford car. I've NEVER seen it in any race i've participated in or whatched the preview for.

I dont know why this issue intrigues me but it does. Anyone know why the Devs may have excluded some cars from being driven by the AI?

An interesting question. I noticed this in GT1 especially--the game always puts the same cars in those races: in the Clubman (for instance) there is always an MR2...always a Subie Wagon to race against. In GT2 there is a bit more variety in the AI selection, but still plenty of cars that never get used in sim or arcade races.

And in GT3, there is some variety in the AI, but still not enough. In the Amateur Turbo Cup for instance, a Silvia Spec R steals the show at Test Track. Some other car wins at Apricot and Route 11. There are plenty of turbocharged cars in the game, but the same AI always is up front. If there wasn't so many events in GT3, (if I raced the same events over and over) I would personally get bored quick. I like the fact in GT2 for instance that in the GT regionals, a Viper can lead...but so can an NSX, an RX-7, or a Supra. It just adds variety so you're not up against the same old same old.

So far as the Tickford: I look at it like this: at least when you race one, you get a special feeling..kinda like a unique feeling since the game never uses it. But it still doesn't make up for the fact that you never have your own Tickford vs. Tickford in the sims.

yes,go into arcade,select hard,use any class S car,exit around 4 times to the menu,re enter the same race,u verse the tickford Falcon Xr8 race car,i do this and use my Xr8 and do a 1,2 finish
