Is it just me or or do the AI cars not have headlight dispersion the same as the car you are driving on GT6?

Reference any video of night driving you see on youtube and it becomes pronounced.....

See when the BMW passes the car down Conrod straight (back straight) in rearview the AI has lamps on but when the driver is coming up behind him his lights look as though they are off?

Thoughts? and or Hope this gets an update asap

Are you sure it's just a bug with some cars? It seems as though it affects all cars other than the one you're driving....
Yeah, it's a bug, nothing that you can't repair with a patch the day of the official release. That didn't happen in GT5, so that's not normal in this game.

It's the same in GT5, except only your car and one AI car had casting headlights; all other cars did not. I assume because of the better and more advanced dispersion in GT6, only your car casts headlights. It looks and works much better in my opinion.

In GT5 online, all cars casted headlights but the dispersion was crap and you couldn't see anything anyway.

If I remember correctly, GT5 AI headlights also didn't do anything for illumination. I'd imagine that would be a bit too much for the PS3 to handle on top of everything else.

My guess is this is an "optimization" to free up system resources. I've seen it in a few vids now and have to say it does bother me. However what bothers me even more is the grid selections. LMP? Z28 RM?! Seriously we're going to do this again? :yuck::banghead:

Player car has good lighting for car to drive. That is a good improvement :)

Not sure via update they can fix it, may be slightly improve if possible. They said they pushed PS3 as much as they could.

It's just like in GT5. You can't expect all the grid having dynamic lighting considering the hardware this game runs in. We have rain, dynamic time and probably the best graphics you will ever see in a current (previous) gen console. I'm sure it's not just because the developers don't want to do it.

Look at GTAV. They sacrificed what made GTAIV so great, which was the real time car damage, just for the graphics. Although in this case, it ruined the game, honestly. But I guess what I want to say is that there will be sacrifices made with a seven year old console.

EDIT: I see that they reduced from two to one car having dynamic lights. If I remember correctly, in GT5 there were always two. You car and the one closest to you.

It looks kinda cheap in replays, but again, I don't think they can do anything to fix it.

You know I never noticed that in GT5 only the closest AI car had it's headlights casting light - now I do :)
