So this is a random topic. What do you guys enjoy drinking? If you dont drink alcohol, what do you substitute?

I myself enjoy drinking Belgian ales'. As expensive as they are i just love the taste. If im not drinking a belgian, im drinking an IPA. Yes... its pretty opposite sides of the spectrum but i do really enjoy both.

Southern Comfort, not my favourite, but it's pretty sweet and timeless

My preferred drop is Glenfiddich. I'm enjoying a glass right now actually.

When I drink, I prefer 312 and I don't know what kind of beer it is other than I like it. And I will drink Matilda which is a Belgian ale but expensive at $11 for a 4pk. I tend to enjoy beers with a more fruity taste- Shiner Ruby Red, Raspberry Shock Top, Blue Moon.

The only hard alcohol I will drink is rum and I tend to stick to the trusty Captain and Coke. Bacardi and coke works too. Had some Sailor Jerry over the weekend it wasn't too bad either.

My favorite is Guinness on tap followed by Blue Moon on tap. Whenever I go out for my birthday I order a tall one of each right before dinner. :D
Usually at home I drink Labatt Blue or Bud Light Lime. Killians Irish Red is good too. If I am real broke I drink Miller Light.

I actually enjoy Belgian ales as well. I usually get the 750ml bottles. Theres a 6pack of a belgian ale that i tried last month and it was really delicious, iforgot what its called though :( It was about $14.

This would be my favorite one to date.

I tried to get into stouts, but i just cant do it. Its just to thick for me. Yeah my broke drink is miller to haha

Mostly Scotches and bourbons. I have a very very big bias towards Jack Daniels, but I also enjoy Wild Turkey, Black Douglas, and Johnny Walker Red.

Yeah it ain't cheap. Only on rare occasions will I buy it. Even the 750ml bottle is like $8-9 so buying the normal sized bottles is more cost effective.

Same here. I usually only get them when i get paid, and the following weekend of my check. I guess its like a little treat for all that hard earned money haha. Where i live, the only liquor stores around tend to over price the belgian ales :/ I usually pay around $10-14

I love JD, it has been and always will be my favorite liquor. The JD honey actually makes for a good mixed drink.

I like trying a variety of things but this is my favorite. Just hard to find lately here in Florida.

Please, take all of it :P

After years of sticking to boring old screwdrivers, or LI Iced Teas when I'm out, I've slowly succumbed to the accepted man law of drinking beer. However, it's been local, starting with this:

It's good, but I generally don't like to feel full from drinking, and even though it's not very heavy, it isn't as light as this:

...which, handily enough, doesn't taste like water (take note, Coors Light). It's very crisp, just the right amount of yeasty, and so refreshing. I actually just went on their brewery tour yesterday as their located down in the Distillery Historic District in Toronto, and found out they have a massive selection available only there. Had a bunch of samples, and walked out with a growler (1.89L) of a special "5th Anniversary Ale" they made to celebrate five years of the pub being there.

Oh, also a big supporter of Strongbow now that fall is here.

That picture of the steamwhistle makes me want one.

i just picked up these two not to long ago.

The aventinus is 8.2%. The taste is just great, its not to sweet and not to bitter. For $5 you cant go wrong.

Alcohol? Well...

As far as beers go, I like:

Delirium Tremens:

Guinness:

And Duff Beer. I thought it was a marketing hoax at first, but it's actually pretty good.

I also like whiskey/whisky. I usually settle for Jim Beam, but the best I've had so far was Glen Fiddich 30:

My favourite drink would have too be Captain Morgan with Coke, though.

I also enjoy various cocktail, from Mai Tai to Zombie :D

Bunch of drunkards in this thread. I should ban all of you.

I've been recommended a few beers/lagers I haven't had the opportunity to test just yet, but whenever I find myself drinking beer (when my aunt is visiting) it's usually ice-cold Corona. Which, quite frankly, is the best beer I've had to date. I've only ever tried Odoul's (non-alcoholic; a bit bitter), Budweiser (stale and bitter) and that's it - I'm mostly a juice man.

And whether I find a beer I (really) like or not, that's likely the way I'll stay.

It sure is! Too bad it's something I can't really afford to drink more often

But you're a man of great taste, it seems 👍

I'll take any compliment!

I'n the past I've pretty much been a scotch & beer drinker, occasionally enjoying a wine or two, but recently I gave apple cider a try and I have to admit I like it. I've been sampling a large selection that I've in past walked right past at the shops. I've found that I can't stand the sweet ciders like strongbow, it's almost sickeningly sweet. I'm really enjoying the ciders that have a slightly bitter taste. I've tried a few local boutique type ciders which are great, but out of the slightly more mass produced bunch, these two I like:

90678609999medv1m565775.jpg
36915909999medv1m565775.jpg

I have dabbled in some of the other fruit ciders, don't mind the pear one so much, however I prefer apple cider. I think as far as fruits go, apple has the right amount of acidity for cider.

Apparently everything really is upside-down there: nearly everybody I know who doesn't like Strongbow doesn't because "it's too bitter"... but they prefer Magners. I'm glad to have it confirmed that it's actually the other way around - that's why I like Strongbow, afterall, it's sweetness.

On the topic of fruits, I've had this a few times and really, really enjoyed it, as an occasional change:

Tried an Aventinus the other day, too. I love it. I was mostly suprised by how 'soft' it is, despite the 8.2%.

Gotta say, we've got an awesome pub just a few minutes from the place I work at. They've got more than 200(!) different beers available there, starting mainstream stuff and onto some rather rare delicacies :D

On another note, I'm really not a cider guy. Tried the stuff a few weeks ago... I'll stick to beers, rum, whiskey/whiskey, vodka (mostly Russian Standard, good stuff), cocktails and the ocassional red wine

Yeah the aventinus was really good. So good that i had to go back the next day and get another one.

Lucky you with that pub of yours. Closest thing i have over here that sells a great variety of beers/liquors/anything that has alcohol in it pretty much is a BevMo. lucky for me my moms friend works there, that being said i get free beers all the time.

I just picked up an 'Ale Smith GrandCru' from her, as well as about $50 worth of other beer, and she gave me the grand cru for free :). Now its the only place i go to when i have enough money to get a good amount of quality beer
