The GT was introduced in 2003, and shares the same platform as the 147 and 156. The GT was availible with engines ranging from a 1.8 Twin-Spark to the legendary 3.2 Busso V6. The GT was also the first Alfa Romeo coupè to be offered with a diesel engine (1.9JTD), and the engine became quite controversial at the time it was introduced in the GT. Ironically, the 1.9 JTD became the best selling engine in the GT, and the GT sold more than Alfa Romeo expected.

In 2008 Alfa Romeo launched the Cloverleaf version of the GT, and featured the 1.8 Twin Spark, 2.0 JTS, and the 1.9 JTD. The latter becoming the most popular. The QV featured the brilliant Q2 differential, lowered suspension, Cloverleaf badges on the side and rear, and blackline instrumentdials. This is also one of my all time favorite cars.
