American Championship - Indy and Laguna Seca

Which cars do I need to win Indy and Laguna Seca in the B-Spec American Championship, and what are the tuning details for each car? I tried to race the Mazda Furai (tuned) at Indy and had thought about using the RM Tuned Corvette ZR1. I'm really stumped with these races in B-Spec.

The Corvette ZR1 RM can win both races.
The Indy is really easy, as your car is much faster than the rest of the field.
Laguna Seca can be harder but is also possible with the Corvette if you tell him to overtake at the right time

Thanks for the info. I might have some questions for you about Laguna Seca.

On Laguna Seca, do you tell your driver to overtake when he gets close to his bumper? And, do you start out with pace up, keep pace, pace down, or overtake? Also, what type of driver are you using

I tried this race about 4 times last night and always ended up in 5th place. There was one time I was in 2nd place on the last lap and my driver decided he wanted to skid off the road. I tried this with a semi-hot driver that is a level 10. I have a cool driver that is level 29, but he couldn't even place 5th.

first go at LS track, my driver finished 2nd behind the fridge sorry i mean 2J thing, he was driving the ZR1 Rm.

He would have finish first but lost to much time on a failed attempt to overtake, no input from me what so ever, was in the shower. I have every faith in Bob that next time out he will win.

buy the Ford GT LM Spec II Test car, then you'll have no trouble at all in neither of the races.

I know it's expensive, but it's worth every penny. You can use it in al lot of races to come.

It will winn, without you pacing him, or even watching. Just press start, and retur when the time is up. Easy,

Thanks for the information about the Ford GT LM Spec II car. I had a chance to buy it in the UCD, but passed on it. I won't the next time around.

I posted this in another thread:

B-spec (Driver lv. 23)

Tried CIEN and different fully tuned Vettes, without luck. The CIEN came in 2.nd on both tracks as my best result.

Just bought the Ford GT LM Spec II Test Car, bought the last tuning parts available and aced the Indy. Overtook the last car in round 15.... Only paced my driver a little.

On Indy, 1.st place in first round
Laguna, 1.st place in second round

Remember the right tyres and lower the rideheight.

The GT40 spec 2 is indeed one of the best cars to use in this race. I think you win it from A-Spec Dream Car Championship (Lvl 24) aswell.
My lovely bob, I.Love (Lvl 16), came first in both races and lapped 4 last.
Just tune your gearbox around 370 for Speedway and 300 for Laguna Seca. Both races with full downforce and you'll win with around 4-6 second margin.

I won both races in my RM ZR1 with ease. The first time around. But now when I try to grind, I can't shake off that damn GT40. I end up in 3rd on Laguna and on Indiana he's on my ass the last few laps then passes me

I've completed the series on Indy with a fully modded Corvette ZR1 RM cuz its really good for speed and turning but the Laguna Seca race is much harder

Its taken me a number of times to complete it because i've been experimenting with different cars as the Corvette wasn't fast enough to keep up with the likes of the 2J and GT.

I used the Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II and you can get this from winning Dream Car Championship in A-spec. I'm a level 22 driver and hes max hot-headed, key to getting in front at the start (I also overtook a 2J)

Another tip is reduce ride height to -10, use racing hard tyres, and if your using a hot-headed guy be sure to keep his heat level at 75% to avoid him going really slow and the others catching up :)

Careful with the Ford at Indy. On lap 18/20 Bob decided to fall inline behind a lapped car, and let the field catch him. Second place was making his move when I looked at the screen, dove for the controller, and paced up the last 2 laps.
