My fastest time with the SLS at the AMG Academy Expert-Level.
Nearly 34 sec. faster than gold.

I remember doing this event.

I was really surprised by how easy it was, I beat gold by 30 seconds or so.

I used a DS3 but I set active steering to strong. It meant that I didn't oversteer and had lots of grip, it was the same for all of the other wet events.

Nice lap though anyway, that was some smooth driving.

I just checked my time and it was 8.20 and that was my first try, is that really right PD? When i beat a expert event on the first try with 10sec then its something very wrong.

Gonna see how close i can get to your time zocker Wont beat that on first try thats for sure

Yes GT5 is much to easy.
Of course we´re not average GT5 players, but there is no challenge offline excepting the X1 which realy needs skill to complete it in gold.

May I ask what other driving options you guys use when acheiving these times. I am only a couple AMG Academy golds away from platinum in this game and cant seem to find a comfortable configuration using DFGT (or DS3 for that matter).

For the wet events, I used Active steering and ABS 1. It's also good if you short shift because you can retain more traction that way.

For the dry events, I used TCS 1 and ABS 1, I didn't bother with active steering for the dry events as it didn't help too much. I use a DS3 by the way.

This was an easy one, though I didn't do that good, I got a 8.15, no active steering, only ABS and a little traction

Wet races is actually easyer (more margin for error). Try to only push 80%, then its easyer to hold a good line and do none mistakes. This event is more like consistensy test rather then a pure speed test. Try ABS 1, all other assist off. If you still have plenty of wheel spin after you have tried to short shift then put on some TC, but I highly recomend only abs on.

edit;I thought you only talked about full lap event, on the shorter ones you have less margin for error, only thing that will help is practice Or check out some you tube videos..

No i didn´t change brake balance only switched off driving aids except ABS 1.

Got a new phone with direct you tube upload so I have to test it I know I have a sub 8.00 in me, but got a bit tired of gt5 when I only have single player, so I have not touched gt5 much lately..





EDIT; I do have a feeling that a more front bias brake balance is faster... gonna test it tomorrow 👍

I bought a samsung wave gt-s8500, really good for its price.
The video was too long for a direct upload so I had to put it on my computer first. And its filmed in 640x480. The highest video resolution is 1280x720


EDIT: zocker_16: I got a 8.00.869 after some laps tonight. I think I can get close to your time but I need more practice..lol. I have only driven gt5 1hours a week latly and thats not enough to get below 8.00min for me....YET.

If I get a lap below 8min then I will post it.

Thanks 👍 Even though I know this track really well, its really hard to push 100% on comfort tires in the rain!
I have a really bad habit of going slow on the last half because im afraid to mess it up..lol
