AMG SL65 settings

Hi all, Ive found my SL65 to be my most powerful car (other than my CLK GTR race car)...ive dialled it up to around 900kw.

Thing is though, it brakes poorly and turns in awfully.

Of course I have all the mods, brakes, controller, suspension, engine etc etc etc and I have turned the tractions controls etc all to off.

Just wondering if anyone has some good settings for this car!

(My first post, glad to be a part of this forum!)

PS. What cars are people using to win the GT cup - the final races in professional events? Im finding even the GTR race car isnt up to it - do I need to invest in one of those 4,500,000 LM units? (Better get saving, only up to 1.5 million!)

Rezok, I'd be curious what you find out about the competition in the GTWC at the end of the Pro series (I assume this is what you're wondering about.) When I played GT3 I spent a lot of time in this series seeing how puny a car I could win it with. But when I looked at a preview of one of the races in GT4 it looked like all the cars were the high-end race cars. I guess I'll have to go out and win one of those somewhere. Good Luck!

BTW, what kind of tires are you running on the SL65? When I've had cars that are overpowered I've had the problems you described. Usually it gets fixed by running race tires or dialing back the mods until it's drivable and then working on the suspension settings. Once it drives smoothly I gradually add power until I max it out.

The SL65 even with all mods and lightening is still a very heavy car. Braking will continue to be a problem. Again to repeat the question in the 2nd post, what tires are you running? Sport tires with 900+ will take a lot of finess. I really can't offer much advise. I kept the car stock with only drivetrain additions on the courses I ran, with a slight hp upgrade in order to enter the Supercar Festival.
Regarding the GTWC (last Pro Race) there are a couple of good threads here at the forum that discuss it in detail. However a quick suggestion is to take your Merc or any 375-400 hp car to the El Capitan Enduro and you'll win the Minolta. With a little practice with the Minolta you'll easily win the GTWC. Once you get a little more experience with these higher speeds start trying other cars. There are several here that have used the CLK GTR with success at the GTWC. I have personally used many, many different cars.
