I need some serious help here.

Does anyone have any tips on drifting with the analog, it's killing me and I don't have the money for a wheel.
One other thing I'd like to know about it is how to get a good start off without any TCS on. :banghead:

Then u want

ASM - 0
TCS - 0

it should tremoundsly help.

before a turn i slam the brakes and make my car turn into the turn hard. and i step on the gas making my rear end stick out and i call that a drift. :D

if the TCS is off when i race, I'm alot slower at the startoff. I like to get ahead right away so I have time to show off while I'm racing. But without the TCS, I barely even pick up speed in 1st and 2nd due to not having any traction. The analong doesn't much allow for good peddle control...

Oh I got it now, thanks anyways Cobraking. My gear ration didn't work well with my high HP. It's working alot better now. I apreciate the help.

control the power...you don't just stomp on the gas in real life, not unless you feel like shelling out $450 for a new set of tires. for starters..dont drop it from redline, normally 3 grand will do the trick, and modulate the gas till either it catches, or you have to change gears. on most cars they will catch in 2nd...if not then somewhere during 2nd, and if not then..as soon as you go to 3rd they should stop spinning. too bad theres no clutch, otherwise you could just slip-launch it and away you go

I hope GT4 will have a clutch... anyway, it's not that hard to accelerate from the start. The buttons on dualschock2 are analog so just some precise use of your thumb should do it... if it's still too hard, try starting on second gear.

I have an idea that might work.

I personally race with different controls than the default. Instead of having X be my throttle, I have changed it so that the Right stick is my throttle and brakes. This works so much better than the buttons it's unbelievable. (for me at least)

The throw of the stick takes some getting used to, but I can guarantee you that the amount of control that i have over the buttons is phenomenal. All it takes is to have someone bump you or your hand and you're in a wall with the button, whereas if you are using the stick, your hand position is in such a way where your fingers are antagonizing eachother, making for a much sturdier hold on the controller with the benefit of greater throttle control. That really helps me get off the line with the other cars without traction control.

There is a downside though, hitting the handbrake. It's a little awkward, but after some practice, you'll get used to that too.

Hope that helps.
