I have a netbook with windows 7 starter and I'd like to create a partition on which I can install Android.

Can I combine windows 7 starter and Android on a netbook?

Only with great difficulty and only if you really know what you're doing.

Having said that, there is an Android emulator included with the Android SDK (Software Development Kit) that runs on the PC. There's probably no reason why it wouldn't run on a netbook. I have no idea if Win7 Starter as opposed to Pro or Ultimate might be an issue.

So:
Can it be done? Yes, very likely.
Easily? Depends on how much you already know.

I was dual booting Android x86 and Crunchbang Linux when I had my netbook. Wasn't too bad to setup. You'll want to make sure you make good backups before you start, because odds are you're going to screw it up once or twice before you get everything nailed down.

I don't know that much about it but I think I'll be able to make it run if I find all the info needed.

I was able to getting an Android OS running on a Virtual Machine on a Windows 8.1 laptop (not that the version matters).

You should be able to do a dual boot with Android on a partition drive. The OS should already be able to pick up a mouse like it did for me. The only trouble you may run into is with apps that run with the screen flipped 90 degrees.

But yes, you'll still be able to. I followed a google-able tutorial.

edit: Well actually, come to think of it, I'm unsure if the OS can pick up on your laptop's network adaptor. But I'm sure someone's already got that part figured out.
