I expect most of you know this girl by name and what her impact has been on our world. The nazi's didn't kill her, but she died because of their actions just the same (it is typhus that killed her in the end, not the gass chambers). When she died I wasn't born yet, as my father was just a teenager and my mother no more than a toddler.
For most people on this forum the concept of war is probably something far far away, something from the past and not something that we will experience ourselves. Not unless we join the army and fight wars abroad.
Me, I think the same way: No foreign force will try to conquer my country in my lifetime, not the Russians, nor the Chinese as both have embraced capitalism in one way or another and love the money that brings them and their people. It is a form of naivism I love to embrace....
What I would like to know is what you even younger people here know about war, about hatred among people and what you expect from our leaders, your parents and yourself regarding peace and war. Do you expect war to be upon you, and if yes, why? and if not, why not? When you care to respond, please state any background you seem relevant (e.g. age and location).
