Any face mapping?

Well, if there is, i just thought of a really good trailer with which they can show it off. First, they show a driver view of finishing an f1 car race in 1st place, then he goes into the pit lane, stops at his garage and takes the steering wheel off. then the view changes and you see the driver getting out of the car. then he starts to take his helmet off, then when it is half off the screen goes blank. then in big white writing it says "You Decide". then on the next shot it says "Gran Turismo 5" and then it ends.

I think that is a good trailer idea. what do you think?

For me, it's useless (as color of car's seat)...if I want to see my face, then i'll stand in a front of mirror.💡

However F1 could be nice; it'snt the first thing i want in GT5 but it would be fine.

As a trailer, I'll prefer see a list of brands and numbers of cars in each brand (like the end of GT1 intro movie, with numbers of car)...to be able speculate waiting release.

It would be wasted resources in my opinion if they were to do that.

it would be a decent way to introduce it, however very unlikely IMO. i hope facemapping is in the game, as it adds another sense of reality, but then again in GT you dont really see the driver much so it would be pointless as when you do see the driver in car, they always have a full face helmet.

this is weird ages ago a friend of mine said something about face mapping for a ps3 i can't remember which game is was but it might have been gt5 that would be a bit wierd seeing your face on the driver but would be awsome at the same time

I'd rather want to see the ability to choose different jumpsuit/helmet, than your face (when are you going to see it? After Massa-like crash?). But I'm fine without any of those things.

If any of this texture mapping-stuff (liveries, driver, etc.) really makes it into the game, it better not take the tiniest bit of graphics-performance or number of cars on the grid or similar things away from the game. Otherwise I will be seriously p.'ed o.

outside of pasting an image of my butt inside a helmet, I can't really think of any practical use of this feature. maybe they'd be used as a 3d portrait? but then why not just use a flat photo for that?

of course the photo portrait would naturally also feature my rear end. Perhaps with a 'w' or 'm' drawn on each cheek

You know what I loved about the Mario Kart arcade game? The camera that takes a picture of your face before the race starts.
