TADDA

Yeah, the "Limited Edition 17/25" decal kinda gives it away...

I've moved this thread to its proper home...

it's not that everyday you see a car that can go that fast:irked:
Even though the speedo says 400, I don't honestly think it can really go that fast.

Exactly - I had a Vectra that had a 260kmh speedo on it, a speed it would have been hard pressed to acheive falling down a lengthy mineshaft....

260km/h, eh? I've had my eye on a Vectra for some while now, any idea where I could find one of them speedos? Might not walk the walk, but at least it'll look flashy. :D

Cars never go faster than their speedo unless you upgrade them...;)They usually fall short by at least 20 km/h.

That's actually not true. My bone-stock Neon will bury the 120-mph speedo. Given a mile of two of good smooth road, it will touch 135 mph, as calculated from the tach and the wheel circumference.

Four things give it away:

- 400kph
- //AMG
- 17/25
- carbon fibre trim

My first, guess, though, was SL55 or SL73. That was before I saw the carbon-fibre.

Well... that's not ture:)
E.g.:
91' MB E500 W124 (240kw) without any modification. It has 260 on the speedo but we bottomed down it AND the indicator was even lower than the mark which said 260 AND it could go more.
:mischievous: :D

Wow...shouldn't the manufacturers at least test out the car to it's full capability so they can have a speedo which doesn't fall short?

The R34 GTR has 180kmh speedo. Do you actually thinks it is its top speed? (forget that limiter for some markets)

there is a piece of electronic device that you can buy. you install it to your transmission and you.......well i don't know the whole proccess but this device will give an acurate feed regarding how fast you are going on your speedometer.
speedometers always go off, even on expensive cars. but not this MB.
