Any updates on Vision GT?

Vision GT is the main reason why I bought GT6 rather than wait for the new on on the PS4. It was exciting and new, and yet, after waiting since I don't know, half a year, almost half of the cars are still unreleased and unannounced.
I was drooling over the VGT Lamborghini only to never see it come to fruition.
Am I waiting hopelessly now? Will they just abandon such a great idea and take a dump on their fans just to "focus" on GT Sport?
Or will they actually keep their word and release all the VGT cars that were planned?
I need to know because I won't waste one more minute in this game if they're not going to release any more VGT car.

Better wait for GT7. Cuz all cars from gt6 and gt sport (and VGTs) will be there. So gt sport is not worth it. Cuz you know it aint GT7!

Thank you all for the clear answers, it really is shameful that they went on with this.
Not touching GT6 again then, and probably not GT Sport either.

You bought GT6 just for the VGT idea? Wow, I didn't think somebody like you existed! I mean, I'm not judging you, I remember that seeing the R10 TDi in GT5s first E3 trailer sealed the deal for me, but my opinion of the VGT idea is so low that I'm surprised someone liked it that much.

But yeah, like others said, VGT in GT6 is kaputt.

Oof. Just read this, and that's pretty infuriating they're putting the rest on GT Sport. Not only is it a different system, but it's even a pretty radical departure from the gameplay of the main series. That's very broken-promisey, IMO. And even lots of the "pending VGT" things I saw when I first started the game - Alfa Romeo, for instance- disappeared entirely once I got all my updates installed and the game was current. I guess those projects were just dumped entirely.

Sigh. At least there are some rather nice ones in GT6. I'm awfully fond of the Mitsubishi, Alpine, Peugeot and Lexus ones. And the Chaperral has a degree of ludicrous, impossible, overemphasizing-the-concept-part-of-concept-car charm.
