Any way to actually turn?

I'm running into this issue with racing and drifting. When you're racing the guy won't turn the wheel far enough so you go off track. When you're drifting you go to counter, but it doesn't counter like you.
This is with the included ps3 controller.
I'm trying to do the 4wd non race car and tuned car super lap that's up today and with everyone using the zzII. The top 10 are all using some 900 degree wheel and have super low lap times and I'm just over here like how the hell... Why did they make the gt5-6 so terrible with wheel compatibility...

But yeah, what can I do when there is pretty much no tire squeelin, but my guy won't turn enough... that I end up going off the track?

Off topic... The ZZII seems to handle better with a stock suspension, then the fully custom one? even if I set the settings the same?

Thanks,

Or it might be in fact that you haven't gotten used to how GT6 handles. It feels very different from a lot of games.

What controller settings and driving aids are you using?

My guess is either a glitch or your driving is causing this "steering issue' I've used a DFGT no problems, felt great and was great. Now I'm on a T300RS felt completely different but even better! But no issues of not being able to turn. Give us a further description of whats going on please

As for those leaderboard guys they combine their great skill in tuning with absolute precision driving which includes using up all the track efficiently and great control over the breaks and accelerator.

"Your guy" has absolutely nothing to do with your actual inputs and how they translate to the car. He's just a rough graphical representation.

A lot of GT6 cars - especially AWD ones - suffer from understeer. Expert tuners are able to dial out the understeer and setup the car to suit their preferred driving style.

With some cars I find that braking gently to get weight transferred onto the front tyres then starting to turn helps the intital turn in and gets rid of the understeer. You could try experimenting with your turn in points and with braking styles to see if these help you adapt your driving style to match the car. Otherwise I suggest tuning the car to suit or trying different tunes from the tuning database until you find one that best suits your driving style.

Its just the visual. Using my wheel, when I'm going through slower corners, the driver will turn the wheel more, and on, for instance, Daytona, I'll have the wheel turned all the way and on screen the wheel is barely turned. I still get the correct steering input, its just a visual glitch, I believe.

Not a glitch, just a design choice. They had wider animations in a Prologue build and it looked rather...funky with all the arm crossing.
