Anybody play pool

I just started getting into pool a couple weeks ago when me and some of my buddies went to the pool hall, and decided to get my own stick. Now my price range is around 100 bucks and looking for a fairly decent one, if one could be had at that price. Any good and respectable brands I should look for or ones to stay away from. Any info that could help a pool n00b like me out is appreciated. Thanks
