I know it's been dead for almost 10 years. I know it's nothing more than a decorative paper weight at this point. I know about the long-awaited Motor World Online that is scheduled to come out the same day as Gran Turismo 6. I'm aware of the NFS World title that is somewhat similar. I have some questions related specifically to some cars that were NOT seen again in either High Stakes or World (or really any other NFS game AFAIK).

I had this game long ago (kicking myself for tossing it right now) and while reminiscing with another previous player we came upon a something neither of us had an answer to since we both trashed our copies of it! If you still have a copy of the game PLEASE send me a PM! The point raised could actually prove to be useful information in the future. Please don't get your hopes up, this has absolutely nothing to do with any attempts at restarting servers, establishing an offline mode, or any such thing related to making this game functional again.

Apologies for being a bit cryptic, but this request has a potentially interesting outcome that some of the old MCO fans might really like. But this event is unlikely so I don't really want to create an internet press release of something that depends on several things that are rather unlikely (the first being that anyone still owns this game:guilty:) and will almost certainly never see the light of day.

Just as a reference, here's the list of MCO-specific cars (looking from some info on any or all of them):
1932 Ford Model B Coupe
1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe
1947 Cadillac Series 62
1948 Cadillac Fleetwood Station Wagon
1949 Mercury Sport Sedan
1953 Ford Crestline
1955 Buick Century
1957 Chevrolet Corvette C1
1957 Ford Fairlane
1957 Ford Thunderbird
1957 Ford Ranchero
1959 Cadillac Eldorado
1963 Ford Thunderbird
1964 Chevrolet Impala 2-door
1964 Ford Galaxie
1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 427
1969 AMC AMX
1969 Ford Torino GT Fastback
1969 Oldsmobile 4-4-2
1969 Plymouth GTX
1970 Chevrolet Nova SS
1970 Plymouth Duster 340
1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am

NOTE:
I AM NOT TRYING TO ILLEGALLY OBTAIN OR PIRATE THIS SOFTWARE. My dedicated gaming PC (pretty nice rig, in the days of Battlefield 1942 haha) went RIP several years ago and isn't worth rebuilding. My only computer is an outdated low-end Macbook running OSX 10.5 (Leopard) with no Wine/Boot Camp setup of any kind for running Windows stuff; even if I could run a Windows OS it's such a memory hog that I wouldn't have the CPU power left to actually run the game. I don't want anyone to misinterpret my request as some attempt to get a shared copy of a video game.

I still have a copy of it. Wont be letting it go, but any other help Ill be happy to try and give. I did love the game to bad EA killed another great game. The worst part was EA killed it because they wanted the servers for the sims online not because it was losing money.

Just wait youngblood. I have it on great authority that it's release will be earlier than gt6. This mwo game will feature the most customization any racing game has ever seen. The open world format is insane, and the way bets are made for races is genius. If you ask me though GT will not be outdone. THIS is why gt6 will not come out until this hush hush game is out in the open. As with anything it could change, ecspecially when EA is in the roots.

Mcol was the best car game ever

ENZO I still have an original copy of the game, still in it's case. I use to play that game quite frequently from Beta, on. PM me if you want to talk about the game.:nervous:

Best game ever!!!!!!!! Just found a copy on amazon I heard you can at least do single player, how hard would it really be to get a server up???

I too miss this game a lot. There has never been any other game like it, the amount of parts you could buy and sell... the cars and tracks, the car culture, it was all there... over 10 years ago now!! I was one of the beta testers before the game even came out and loved every moment of it. Back in 2012 there were some guys who managed to hack the original game so they can make it still run in single player mode only. I've been trying to find out how for a while now, but still no luck. I found one of the hackers on Bookface here: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Motor-City-Online-Back-to-Live/284430588293233
