The clean race bonus is bugging out since the new update.
It's not always giving it to me. I know they made it more strict but this is complete bs.
At 1st I thought maybe I had traded paint with another car so then my next race I was extra careful and didn't even go off the track and still no clean race bonus.
Ontop of that it now also removes it if you get hit by a car as before it only removed it if you hit a car yourself.
Clean race bonus was basically the only way that made most of the events in this game actually worth doing because they pay out pocket change.

Has anyone else noticed it not paying out your rightfully owned credits when you know for a fact you had such a clean race that Barry Scott was impressed.

If anyone didn't get that joke. Barry Scott was the guy that use to do the Cilit bang adverts. BANG AND THE DIRT IS GONE!

At the moment I think there is no problem with the clean race bonus, unless you went over a yellow line or maybe you cut a corner.

Nope I 100% didn't break any race rules. Even thou the clean race bonus is only supposed to apply when hitting other cars I still made sure I stayed in the race lines aswell.
Maybe it messes up on championship cup things.

The only problem I see with the bonus is that I sometimes get it when I strongly feel I shouldn’t. Not complaining though. Every dime counts in this game.

What even since 1.11? I had that problem before 1.11 so I 100% agree it needed to be looked at but now it's ridiculous. When an ai car rams you when it wasn't your fault you still loose the bonus?
Then in that race earlier I know for a fact I didn't touch a single car. I even switched to chase camera when I mostly play it front camera just so I could have a clearer look at the car and I didn't touch anyone.
But what annoys me more then anything is that they should be worrying about more content right now but instead they are worried about people getting CRB when they don't deserve it. Just goes to show what they care about at the moment and it's clearly not the players.
PD use to care about making the best driving games of all time but now they have lost there touch. Ever since the the PS4 they haven't gave a crap at all. They are doing the bare minimum. GT Sport was lacking in loads of content and Gt7 is 75% GT Sport so they aren't actually putting much work into these games at all and it really shows.
I just hope the new Forza Motorsport is good. Apperantly it's a complete reboot built on a hole new game engine so I have high hopes. If it's better then GT7 then my Playstation is going on eBay as I won't have a reason to own it anymore as I got a pc.

A video of your race showing you race clean the whole race, and you not getting the clean race bonus might be better. I have not come across a race where I have race clean and I did not get the bonus, but I had races where I hit some cars and I still got the clean race bonus, but I am not complaining on that.

Nope I don't have this problem now.

But I'll say this: PD made a really dumb decision by removing the in-race arrow indicator that showed when your sportsmanship was going up or down. It was really helpful in GTS daily races and it could really help in any kind of GT7 races (offline and online), to know if and when your mistakes (cutting corners, bumping into other cars) affect your rewards and your sportsmanship level. It can allow you to improve your behavior during a race so that if you accumulate enough "up arrows" you can be forgiven for your mistakes at the end of it.

No, not really.
By indicating that, Ppl are able to adapt to what triggers a Penalty and therefore game the System.
Just stay out of trouble, keep it as clean as possible all the time, avoid ANY!!! Contact at all time.
Be your own Judge and ask yourself if you think you’ve earned the CRB 😉
Only a Contact Free Race should be awarded with a clean Race Bonus 😎

Then you would have got the Clean Race Bonus.

Perhaps provide video of a race showing you not getting the CRB where you think you should have done, and people can determine why you didn't and help you avoid losing it again in the future?

Offline you CAN'T avoid AI cars sometimes, even if you try as hard a possible. As a result you have to restart the race because you know you won't get the clean bonus and it can be really frustrating if we're talking about a collision in the last few laps of a long race. A sort of forgiving system can prevent this.

Maybe I’m just more patient or more aware and think further ahead, but please believe me that from my experience racing the AI, and I race them A LOT!!! , they are very clean and it’s 99% my Fault me messing up or being overly confident which then leads to a Contact..

Which track(s) are you having problems with. CRB can be very temperamental based on the track. Sarthe for example has notoriously obtuse track limits, both for the track limit penalty and for the CRB (which are separate, you can still get CRB with a track limit penalty or lose the CRB without any track limit penalties)

Some tracks you can't lose the CRB, at least on Tokyo I have never lost it despite hitting walls, getting the one possible going wide penalty and punting AI cars to the moon. But maybe you can't lose it on lapped cars as I'm already in first out the tunnel with thet Tomahawk.

The rally tracks also don't mind how many times you crash and are quite lenient on contact with other cars, but you can lose it ther for hard front end contact, whether it was you or the AI doing the ramming.

@PirovacBoy You must be playing a different game as the AI is not clean, the are simply on rails most of the time, unaware of your car and will drive though you if you don't get out of the way. Lapped cars never follow the rules, will block you, speed up when you come alongside and cut you off. They dive into corners when they get the overtake boost, hit you from behind, don't care about pit lines, don't leave you any room, swerve on the straights, drive in the middle down the Conrod straight. They do everything the etiquette section in Beyond the Apex says not to do.

This is not clean, just one example I have laying around. The AI is half off track, braking on the still wet part as if he's driving on dry track (AI has RS equipped here, I'm on RM). You try that, you spin. The AI proceeded to drive like I didn't exist, push my car out of the way and simple continued on his rail journey, not even affected by the contact. The AI is pure 💩, avoid at all cost.

@Sven Jurgens , I don’t know if we’re on different Games though, but from my experience I haven’t encountered any dirty /clumsy/ sneaky Behavior.
If I go for a move, I always make sure it‘ll stick.
I don’t try to force a move as it tends to catch the AI off Guard sometimes.
At the end of the Day it’s still an algorithm the AI follows yet, they‘re still quite smart at avoiding Contacts.
At least from my experience.
I didn’t came across a Situation where I thought like WTF, it was either me being over confident or just stupid 😅.
Anyway i really hope for Sophy to show up.
I want to race the best possible AI that PD has to offer.
Let’s see if I stand a Chance 😎

Yesterday I saw an AI car on Sardegna 800 (my farming race) cutting my way at the very last second to enter the pits, and it wasn't even on the lane near it. That is not the definition of clean.
There was no way for me to know its move. I almost hit it.

Look at the end of the day, it’s an Algorithm.
You can and most probably will always find a certain Situation that‘ll catch you by Surprise.
An AI Behavior you wouldn’t expect, but that doesn’t mean it’s dirty or not clean.
Just unpredictable given the Situation or Circumstance it decided to go for a Specific Move.

I've found it to be much stricter in championships vs individual races. Individual races it seems almost impossible to lose it, but in championships you'll lose it if you go a teeny bit wide on just a single corner in the whole race. IMO it's not worth doing the championships since they introduced the 3 individual races that pay out much more per minute.

I have no issues with overtaking them, it's the AI 'trying' to make passes that goes wrong a lot. It's not sneaky behavior, although the overtake plus grip boost they get is a big cheat. The AI has made passes on me that are simply not possible, outside overtakes where no one has ever made an outside overtake stick. But at least they don't hit you when they do that.

The problem is when they get dive happy, often in a clumsy way. When they're on your outside they'll simply dive into the wall or sand, yet when they are positioned on your inside, you'll get t-boned. Lapped cars often get faster in endurance races and next to not leaving any room, will speed up and drive you off. It's a visible change from them first sticking out their signal inviting you to pass, to suddenly speeding up and taking off as you get alongside. Better move out of the way as when they're in that mode, they are on rails and any contact means your car is toast.

The AI drives with different physics in the rain, which is where most of the issues happen. They have no patience an will simply drive through you using superior grip and acceleration. They ignore the dry line, ignore you, just bump you out of the way.

When an AI car crashes, yellow flag goes up, they all slow down or even stop. Fine, that's realistic. Yet when you crash, they all plow straight through you, don't slow down, don't try to avoid and you get turned into a pinball.

The only thing they see is when you dive on their inside. That the algorithms recognize and then the AI will either magically speed up and try to out drive you on the outside or simply give you the position. Yet when you overtake on the outside, they usually won't leave any room for you at corner exit. They often don't leave you room on straights either. If the AI wants to go back to the racing line, better jump out of the way.

It's like the game is obsessed with dive overtakes, out breaking on the inside is the only move they recognize and one they practice all the time.

In my 8h GR.1 race I had tons of WTF moments, getting rammed by the AI by lapped cars mostly. The rubberbanding and catch up boost makes it all worse. The AI is SR B at best while its speed varies from DR D to A+ on a whim.

They are entertaining though, for example here the 300 SL gets the overtake boost and stays ahead of my Sauber C9 while knocking a couple other cars out of the way  (at 35 minutes)
