Anyone know how to edit for Velvia film?

Purchase AlienSkin exposure. It's a dedicated plug in for Photoshop that specializes in recreating film brands (color and b&w). It comes with plenty of presets and works amazingly. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the link, Sprite! +rep if I could. I will compare this Velvia action to the Velvia action I found.

Is there any action for replicating that old style film like when color pictures first came out? You know, where the pictures have that warm/washed out tinge. What was that film called, or is that just a natural consequence of aging with old prints?

So this is AlienSkin Exposure, just a few presets. Left is Kodak 160VC, second to is unedited original, next is Daguerreotype and last is Kodak Royal Gold 400 Mider cross processed with the opacity dropped a wee bit. These are only 3 out of the 100s that it comes with.

If you're having a hard time getting AlienSkin you can work with boosting individual color channels in specific areas. I find in Color Balance if you lean towards Cyan for the top slider in shadows, and lean towards blue on the bottom slider in the highlights you can get some interesting colors.
