Anyone know HTML?

I know its fairly simple but I cant figure out whats wrong with my page. A friend helped me with some of it. When I load up the page it doesn't come up, just a black screen. Its using one of the those sites that lets you create a homepage. Here's the link for my page:

Well, I'm not sure since I don't have a lot of experience with CSS but my guess is this line does not need to be there.

It looks like its a comment but even with that if looks like its the first STYLE tag in the page. My guess is that becuase of this the rest of your code is shown as text. I have no clue though as it looks like a giant mess to me. It's been a while since I messed with HTML. Maybe Giles or someone else might know.

the problem might lie with your style tags. it's been a long time since i've done cascading style sheets.

It worked a few days ago, I have no clue what went wrong. It works when you paste it into notepad. Save it and view it. I tried it, i saved it as page.html and it worked fine showed up just like it did a few days ago, but on my page it doesn't work.

Well, it seems to work on my end now even though it didn't earlier. What ever you did, it worked. I saved it to my hard drive and added <.html> and <./html> and it worked locally(no periods). if it still doesn't work try adding those tags to the server version of it.

Oh and don't you need the <body> and </body> tags around your code? What mode are you uploading your site in Binary, or ASCII mode?
