Is there an app (for iPhone 3GS), that allows you to identify what the make and model of a car is?

E.g, by typing in the REG, or something like that.

No idea, but this URL will do it.

Type the registration into the "Buy 1 Check" box and hit "go". It'll give you basic information that you don't have to pay for.
