It‘s possible tho, just did that race and after getting rid of the traffic I did high 51 or low 52 laptimes ;)
Certainly possible for human drivers but for the AI? They brake way too much, especially before and during the last corner

Arcade races scripted?

Speaking of "scripted" races, the 330 P4 which is leading the 3rd race (Monza) in La Festa del Cavallino championship is programmed to go wide into the sand after the first chicane if you're close behind (usually 5th lap, 6th if you're a bit late).

After this latest update, I'll say no... BUT yeah.

Out of 10 Gr. 4 race starts, certain "lead" cars have never started out of the top 10. The only lead car to start lower than 10th was the M4(13th at la Sarthe). If a lead car is to start below 10th, it gets deleted and the Megane Trophy '11 starts from 1st, every time.

Some of the bottom cars have started higher than 12th(11th is the player's default start position), but it seems like only one at a time. A Veyron started 1st at la Sarthe and the M4 as mentioned above, started 13th.

It'll be interesting how this works if more Gr. 4 cars are added.

The only time I won that race I was 2nd until the the 6th lap and the 330p4 spun out on that 1st chicane gifting me the race.

I did run it a handful of times coming 2nd 3rd etc. but I am a bit skeptical of the fact that everyone seems to pile into the 1st chicane spreading the red plastic barriers and cones all over the road EVERY TIME.

I mean it takes skill to program AI that terrible right? scripted stupidity?

Exactly. I haven't raced that one particularly but I remember back when I started playing the game in December, during a N200 race in Dragon Trail, a white Toyota 86GR (or whatever it's called) went wide in the tight turn by the end of the hill. Every time in the 2nd lap when I repeated the race. EVERY TIME.

So, thought I'd do some Gr. 3 Le Mans Arcade Single races, to prepare me for today's Le Mans Daily race. Lo and behold, yep, scripted on lap 3.

It's a shame. I was having an awesome battle with it from the Start/Finish line to this point. The Walkenhorst M6 kept me honest and made sure I didn't back off, from here to the finish.

I didn't do it multiple times but same for me actually! Two BMWs at the top and one spins at that 1st gear right-hander (forget the name)
