Gran Turismo and GTPlanet are arguably more sensitive to information regarding Nissan. And with many different events and sources of information this year, it seems that the manufacturer isn't very healthy at the moment. There have been millions of recalls in 2015 for faulty safety features, obviously this isn't good for business. And Several Motorsport related topics.

I have make a quick search in google new "Nissan recalls 2015" The results:
- Nissan recalls 300,000 Versa
- 2015 Nissan Armada Recalled for Seatbelt Problem
- Nissan May Repeat Recall Over Airbags
- Nissan, Kia under investigation over occupant detection systems

This is very bad, this will cost the company probably a hundred million dollars or so after this is over. And in the motorsport side its not looking to good either.

- LMP1 R&D slow because they had less funds than the VW group
- LMP1 program withdrawn from the remainder of 2015 to focus on R&D
- GT Academy was smaller than it was last year, awarding only 3 contracts instead of 4.
- Announcement that Nissan will only run 1 car next year in the Blancpain Endurance Series
(I think they have 3 this year)

Some of us want to win GT Academy and become a factory driver for Nissan, but considering all of this information, it seems that Nissan is being spread thinly. Is Nissan, particularly its motorsport divisions in danger?

It's possible. I mean they can't just field a new car every time several new GT Academy graduates appear can they? They also have contracts with their existing professional drivers to uphold.

It would be interesting to see whether Nissan stops backing GTA over the next few years and which manufacturer might replace it. Looking at company sizes and motorsports involvement, Honda or Toyota would be the likely candidates.

What company doesn't have issues these days? Just look at what VW is going through right now. You think a hundred million dollars is bad, VW may be fined 18 BILLION.

I feel like this really isn't anything new and this post was just to spite the company for some reason...

Nissan operating profit last year equates to €4.4bn - they might have had issues with recalls, they might not have had much success with the LMP program, however, if you put this in context, nothing is particularly out of the ordinary, and they can afford to invest in resources if that was a significant problem. Also with recalls, it's worth remembering that it's often components supplied to automotive manufacturers by 2nd and 3rd tier suppliers that are the issue.
