Area 51: Daily Race Qualifying Records [clout central]

Daily race qualifying records disappear from the game every week, but PD have them saved on their website (at least the races from around June 2022 onwards). I wrote a quick script to download the top 100 from each race.

If you're into online racing, or watch various streamers/YouTubers you might recognise some names and find this interesting. At least I did. Obviously this isn't the only, or even best metric to determine who the best racers are, but I still think there are som serious bragging rights associated with these stats, and I don't know if they're available anywhere else so these aliens can get the recognition they deserve (but it might be, I just don't know where).

In total there's data from 108 daily races, equivalent to 36 weeks. I don't have data from the early ones after launch. I also haven't spent time manually checking them all, so if there's any errors, then so be it.

First things first, there are only 51 different winners. Here's a list of the ones with multiple wins:

Hopefully the information will be publicly available on GT7 or at least a website at some point because that would help give more of the faster players more to compete for. I'm plenty happy just getting a top 10 occasionally.

Yeah I don't understand why PD dont do things like that better. It takes no time at all to code but can do a lot for the community.

I can see you've got 3 top 10s and 14 top 100s. Impressive!

But yeah a lot of it comes down to motivation to play and how much effort is put in. Most people don't do all three races every week, and certainly don't push to set an optimal time in every race.
