His original songs are nothing special, not a fan of mellow/vocal stuff he usually releases, but his ability to throw together great flowing sets, his production value, and his live shows are unbeatable. Seeing him next month and expecting to be blown away.
Favorite song would probably be either Intense, just because it's different from the norm, or Expedition.
I only heard of him because of "This is What it feels Like" (Which is incredible), but I've never really looked any further. I did hear one called Ping Pong recently.
I like Armin. Listened to him a lot ~6/7 years ago. He had a mixtape wich was just absolutely amazing, can't find it anymore though. It was on a website called AOL Music or something..
Intelligent guy too. I've seen an interview some months ago on Dutch tv. He talked about his school time and how he motivated himself to make music. He also studied Law and he said he wanted to do something in that range if he stops making music.
I found a mix that contains some of the parts of the original one. The parts of the original one still gives me goosebumps
Mostly the parts without a heavy bass. I like the floaty bits From like 8:55 <3
edit;
This is one of the parts I mean. Though I hate the first minute of it the songs gets really really good. Makes me want to go on a high speed road trip.
I've been listening to him since his early days, some of his best work, imo, was under the alias "Rising Star", though his Gaia stuff is amazing as well. I've been listening to ASOT since episode 79.
Sure. Asot is undeniably one of the best trance radio shows, I try to catch it every once in a while.
But I can't say he's among my favourite trance producers. Though I do like a fair few of his originals, principally "Shivers", and I quite like some of his remixes, particularly those of Sunlouger's "Lost" and Dido's "everything to lose".
