arrows beside the drivers helmet

Hello, I am just curious what the different arrows mean. They sometimes are different colors and different directions. Thanks in advance! Add me to your friends list! serpentdriver

what spiregtr said.

I have the impression it's like a confidence scale. It seems to go down or stay straight if my guy isn't doing well. But I can get it to be blue up again by having him win a few races. I can't say I've noticed, but I guess if it's pointing down, he has a harder time winning.

Also, remote racing doesn't affect the arrows. My 6 drivers have been down, down, down, down, neutral and up for a while now even despite having done countless numbers of remote races now.

I figured this too, because several of my guys have a blue arrow & I haven't used them myself, and they stay blue, even though they're not consistently doing well in remote races.

There is a bunch of threads about it. The few things we do know is once you put your Bobs online their arrows won't change until you take them off again. It has nothing to do with win ratio. I've come to the conclusion it's totally random.

B-spec racing them with instruction seems to influence it. Ofcourse, winning helps. But even then, if you run one guy over and over he may get down. Ehhh...

I think there is some pattern to the arrows, though its not very obvious.

After I leveled up my drivers, I wanted them to get blue arrows before I put them on remote race. I discovered the following:

One went up a level every time they were not in a race.
One went up a level after every European Championship race they were in at Monza.
One went up a level after every British Lightweights race they were in at London.
One went up a level after every Supercar Challenge race they were in at Daytona.

So based on that limited anecdotal evidence, I do think the drivers have "favorite" tracks/events that up their arrows, and there is some fatigue factor. However, I have no idea what those are for a particular driver other than trial and error.

I had a driver go from Up to Down in one race. It was the Suzuka 1000Km, and - in spite of it being very wet - he started on Race Hard tyres. He crawled around the track, and as well as changing tyres, changed driver. I don't know if he ran again. But at the end of the race he was Down.

I'm more confused than ever.

Usually I've been able to get a blue up arrow after winning a couple of races in a row. But yeah, usually they go from down, to green level, to blue up.

Now, I find that my bob went from blue arrow to orange down arrow after winning 2 races in a row easy!

So now I wonder if they get happier (like real people do) about winning by a smaller margin than winning with a big lead! LOL

My bf's theory is that they're likely to go to the orange down arrow when they start a new level. He thinks no matter what you do, when they level up, and they start gaining from the bottom of the level again, they sink into orange down arrows. (like they're sulking haha) I can't say I've noticed that particularly myself. And it sounded a bit like my bf was anthropomorphizing them. Because HE himself seems to notice where he is on his aspec level, and gets more excited as he's nearing the next level, then when he levels up, he keeps complaining that the bar is not moving fast enough. LOL But maybe they do work that way. This may be natural and they may be programmed to mimic that?
