I don't know if this is old news, or if I've been living under a rock, but recently I stumbled across these awsome mods, at least in my opinion, with tons of liveries, overall good looks and decend sound. Mods are from RMS or with his collab. I've downloaded some from assettoworld recently, where I've seen some of his LMP mods posted, but I would like to know if there is some specific site where I can find some more of his GT2/GTC mods? If he posts here lol, just tell me I'm stupid. Btw you can find the Ferrari and Marcos on assettoworld, but i can't remember where I got the Porsche from. I can try to share the folder here if possible, ofc only if you are interested.

Does someone here know if it is possible for races with older cars to turn off the pit lane speed limit?
Would be very cool if there is a way to quickly do it.

Btw is there anyone who thinks he is able to convert the GPC79 Zandvoort track from rfactor with this extension to the track: https://wookey.forumotion.com/t947-1980-1985-zandvoort-by-luigi-70

And yesss I am quite desperate... Sorry

I'm no expert, but fairly certain that the pit speed limit is hard coded. I've never seen a track with a different limit than 80 km/h.

It also has to do with the surface/model I think. Any surface called PITS gets the 80 limit applied and is considered the pitlane, anything not not.

I guess you could make the fast lane just regular road/track, and only the actual boxes a pitlane. But that's actual modding, and not something you could easily do with a configuration/ext_config. No idea if the AI or even AC in general could handle that.

Again, no expert.

It is possible to do this quickly if you go to surfaces.ini in the data folder of your track and change the line of the roadmesh which has IS_PITLANE=1 to IS_PITLANE=0, but by doing so you will also enable collisions between cars in the pitlane...
It's safer to keep the speed limit enabled...

Getting pretty close. A couple of important objects have been added...

S/F Box. Not a perfect match but close enough. Need to darken the green areas:

Looking forward to this one! The group I race with online is recreating the 1970 TA season and this track is up next week. Been practicing on it and its a great drive, but was in need of some details and polishing (like something showing the start finish lol) Thanks for putting in the time

... Lister Storm LMP Pack Version 1.1 for Assetto Corsa...
First, thanks for share, as always. These mods, although a bit square and with less detail than the dashboard of a Seat Panda, are still very, very fun to drive, at least for me....

And now, a question: in first person view, when the sun falls from behind and reflects on the windshield, the glass becomes almost opaque, which is annoying when driving... is there a way to soften the effect?

Closest we can get are the 1979 GPC tracks, some logos changes and it'd be ok. Would be cool to see both Zandvoort and Zolder in AC.

Zolder is done though. The correct layout for 1979-1984 by weikangai. I did the period correct ads. With the help of RMI Wood I removed the factories, windmills and gas station. Check it out.

I mean, yeah that's a valiant effort, it looks great, but... It's clearly RT's Zolder without some modern stuff (all the modern armco barriers, bridges, infrastructures and all that are still there tho) and doesn't quite evoke the 'real' old Zolder like the 79 GPC mod.

Like what Legion did with Bathurst, it's good but it's not quite the real thing and it bothers my OCD lol

Yeah. My skills are very limited with the tracks. At least it's the correct layout and it's "raceable". Sure it'd be great to have better version. However this one could be improved by adding more trees and replacing the barriers.

It's very hard to get good footage of the track. I have the 1982 and 1984 GP's but none of them show the buildings properly. The 80's F1 is very much negleted in AC which is a shame as it was probably the best era of F1 (with the early 90's). The 1988 and 1992 track packs are superb though. Also 1979 Dijon and 1982 Montreal are amazing.

PS: Shin has WIP 1984 Nurburgring, 1983 Long Beach and 1982 Detroit. Those will be amazing.

It really is a crime we don't have 80s Zandvoort, but unfortunately I'm unable to do such things... And if converting the 1979 track (with the Scheckter chicane that we also don't have) we can also add an extension that is there for this rFactor track which is adding the Marlboro corner so both version propably exist and both are maybe able to convert or to make, no idea why we do not have any other 80s Zandvoort in any game, no idea

Shin has published some amazing tracks and will also do in the future I think but even he has ruled out Zandvoort entirely as I just asked him about it...

At this point we need to hope for a miracle... Like a very enthusiastic dutch person who has this task as his life goal to contribute to this game... And I bet everyone would like to see that but the major problem is that there is no 80s version (apart from the rF extension/addon) in any game

You are not alone in this.
Peugeot905 is an absolute wizard. I don't know what it is, morbid attention to stats, math, black magic.

that Marcos is not very good, glitchy light surrounds and not a great model plus the blokes helmet sticks out the roof 🤣. Hopefully it will be improved on

Is this F1C version the only version from the 80's in either F1C or rfactor? And is it the most accurate available?

I'd definitely think so as I couldn't find anything else... But F1c... Is it F1 challenge? That's a thing I'm not quite sure about, didn't knew there was a mod for it

Yes considering the modern base track what you've done is great and I still race on it ! Maybe one day we'll get the proper old version lol

Rainmaker has Phoenix WIP. However I think it's only the 1991 version. 1989 and 1990 layout is different. The pay track version is beautiful but it's great to have a proper free Phoenix track. Finally as it was very important part of three F1 seasons.

The paid version of Phoenix is beautiful but my god it's such an unoptimised mess, I barely average 80 FPS alone on track when I hit 140+ on all the other tracks I have installed on my PC lol

Can't wait for Rainmaker to release his version to the public, maybe someone would be able to make the other layout from it.

I have very powerful PC so I don't suffer from any lags. But the size is 1 Gig which makes it easily the largest track in my collection. I bought the track for 25 euros and it had the WORST and crashiest ai ever.

Wakamatospecial fixed it. Now it runs great and is fast. Here is the ai fix (for people who only have the track).

Here's a showcase of my 2007 specific Abbey/Santander skins for KNR Silverstone 2005 which is (imho) one of the best AC tracks I've driven. I'm not much of a modder but I've managed to create the most enjoyable season with 2007. Partly it's been a luck as I've managed to make the cars pit just perfectly in the 20 lap races by adjusting the fuel capacity just perfect (by trial and error) and every single race is challenging with Alonso and Hamilton at AI 100 and Massa at AI 97.

Most credit of course to VRC 2007 cars which are incredible. Not ONE race has any kind of issue. The ads in every track are period correct and I've hand picked all tracks carefully (as I've played this season through 4 times). For example ACU Sepang had a weird pit issue, etc.

In this race I was charging Alonso heavily as he overtook me during the pitstop. Sutil was a backmarker and both overtook him but in the last lap I overdid it and went to the gravel at Becketts but secured 2nd position. Even though I clocked steady 1:21 and 1:22 during the race I couldn't win. Even though I say it myself this is the best sim racing I've ever had (since I've been playing these games for 25 years). What I like about the races is that it's very challenging but fairly so. With absolutely PERFECT driving you can get pole and win... but even one mistake and you're done. I love it.

These VRC 2007 cars are so well done, it's amazing. Sure there's only two and the rest are skins... but amazingly these kind of grids are often better as there's fewer things to go wrong when you only adjust the driver differences through champs AI settings.

2007 must have been one of the best F1 seasons in history. So much drama and the crazy last race in Interlagos. And of course Kimi winning it all was the icing on the cake. :D

PS: Who wants to help me with creating period correct F1 leaderboard? The 2022 version is amazing... but we need more accurate version for this era.

Maybe another partnership with VR Driving is needed? Are the street tyres intentional?

Kinda odd that you have Nankang Sportnax CR-S tire's on the car when it has Bridgestone Potenza Sport Maxx GT's irl.

The car is equipped with Bridgestone Potenza Sport Maxx GT's irl, So in reality putting semislicks on the car makes even less sense.

Good afternoon all

Is anybody willing to send me the original files for the kunos Nurburgring as I've messed mine up somehow loads of red buildings all around the track :grumpy:
