Big thanks to those who reacted to the initial post! The car will be uploaded anyway, but still depends where...
Maybe use GT7's model as a base and try to fit the TK parts ? That'd be cool.
Thats what I was going to say, plenty of coupe already converted from GT7
You are both right and thank you for your well intended suggestions. In the first try I actually used the sedan from GT7 which is the correct basis for the M20b, but the kit looked really bad compared to the well done GT7 model. The same happened with the coupe from GT7 too. It was an obvious miss match with slightly different shape and polygon amount that I didn't know how to fix, of if it could get fixed, since I'm neither a modder or a 3d designer. The kit used, fits this model like it was made for it, and probably was. And yes, both the kit and the car look like a GTA SA mod, I know  . But there are no M20b's at all in AC, so...
I remember Facebook modders using this 'releases for likes' nonsense a few years ago... to universal derision. I was rather hoping we'd seen the last of it.
I get what you're saying, but this is my first attempt to share a car mod. Confidence is really important in life and I need it too. Plus, I'm not asking for subscription money or followers, but just 20-30 likes on a simple post here. Not on my page. Is it comparable?

Futura Round Bold?

No expert jut used Google ;)

Yes but those that were used had a "shadow layer" behind them. See the white font and the black shadow. The font is surrounded by black frame. You can't do that with normal font code on Python I guess.

The are also "Italic" (means tilting to the right) and Futura font doesn't have Italic option).

edit: I found the Futura Bold italic version. But we need one with that shadow behind it. Hmm...

Could it be that the vacuum cleaner and your PC are (at some point) on the same outlet / group the peak-spike of the vacuum cleaner could interrupt I had it sometime when the fridge goes on, the signal to my monitor was gone for 2 seconds and then comes back another person had it with his PC steering wheel losing contact when the fridge turned on / off, just a thought

no no luckily it´s just - in her madness she comes at everything with force. The cables are always out there 🙃

Has people got the font working in my 80's Leaderboard and you get this view? Someone reported an issue at RaceDepartment.

I can't duplicate his problem as it's working perfectly for me.

Edit: It was a problem with W11 and that font. It refused to install it. Now when you copy the font to Assetto Corsa's own font folder it works fine. Package updated and all fine.

PS: I hate Windows 11. It's absolute trash.

Skinpack for the C180 DTM is finished. I know i could have used f302s really great Car, but his one is the `95 Model, TJs Model is not that good but it’s still ok and the correct `94 version.

Maybe Climax could do a texture rework?

Not sure I follow the logic. Teasing a mod under fanfare while simultaneously threatening to keep it private unless certain conditions are met? Came across as a little arrogant and needy to me, even more so as it's your first mod. It's like the car is some kind of reward for people jumping through hoops, albeit simple one-click ones. If an established AAA modder with a proven track record of excellent releases tried to pull this then they'd probably be met with similar bemusement.
I also don't quite see how this tactic could improve your confidence, especially if you didn't get the required number of 'likes' to meet your requirement. Why not just quietly release the car and build confidence from improving it based on feedback?
Anyway, just my opinion. And you know what they say about opinions.

The required number was more than 10 likes in a week, and it was exceeded in one day, so my requirement is met for the upload.

I'm not threatening by saying that it won't be uploaded with less than 10 likes. I just say that I'd be ashamed to publish something that no more than 10 people care about. I'm sure you start following the logic now.

The reason this tactic helps with confidence, is because by teasing it, I learned that at least a dozen of people would like to try it. So, even if I totally agree that "releasing silently" tactic is the best one can do, I still have the fear of it getting lost if not teased first.

I know what they say about opinions, but I count and respect everyone's. That's why I posted here in the first place. Because the opinion of experienced modders and gamers matters. Especially from modders of GTP.

Also thank you for saying that. Opinions are similar to feedback and always help us become better.

Hi guys! With the new version of Pure (Gamma, not tried with LCS), when I go out on the track everything is dark for the first 20/25 seconds (menu and hud are visible correctly), then everything goes back to normal.

Has this happened to anyone else and do you know how to fix it?

Thanks

which ppfilter?
I´ve had the same issue, it only helped by using the uninstall pure.bat and then do a real clean installation again (Pure 2.35)

Ok, thanks for the feedback. If some other user has the same issue, i will recommend the same thing. Was it also with Gamma or with LCS?

No worries, all's good.
Remember though, this is GT Planet where everyone wants everything. For thirty 'likes' of this post I could offer to publish a photo of my ginger tomcat showing the world his massive gold prosthetic testicles and the target would probably be met. :)

The closest I've got to this is Helvetica Bold Oblique. Not 100%, but the closest I could find.

Try unchecking "New shader for human skin" in CSP settings (it's under Graphic Adjustments in my old version of CSP...I assume it's still there in newer versions).
Tried this. No luck yet. The issue does neither depend on car-config and is present with any cars I've tried. I've also tried different CSP-version, but no solution so far.

I remember this was an issue with M.T.K.'s 1967 Bugatti Circuit also, when it was in development, but he was able to fix it on his end. Not sure what he did.

Anyone have a decent suspension animation guide? Just want to animate old f1 cars nothing crazy complicated
There isn't really a proper guide, the only real one is in the car pipeline file, you can find it in the folder SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\sdk\dev\car_pipeline_2.0rev\car-pipeline-1.03 - also check out in the Example FBX folder there is a Suspension Easy file, gives a very simple breakdown of how the bits and pieces should be assigned. Only thing is they make a mistake and put everything under the BASE_HUB parent, and that causes the front wheels to go crazy, so leave everything at the HUB_LF and HUB_RF level.

@MS6Driver : Nice skins! May I ask WHICH TJ c180 DTM mod you are using?
I have searched for (a hopefully good) one. One works but has very bad interior, the other one gives me an error.txt in the log of AC and does not load. Hope you are willing to point me in some (right) direction. Thanks in advance.

Glad to see the 2024 update for Phillip Island.
However, your 2024 version seems to be based on v1.0.1.

The latest version of Track is v1.1.
The edges of the road surface are smoother.
Check it out.

it was the plan to round all the corners but it meant remaking the main road surface so never got into it , it started outas getting physical curbs an that lead to new grass to blend into those . most of the track is new with hills still from the original slotted in to look right , new run offs / sand traps are simple to do from the existing road mesh . track mesh update was the pitlane and four other sections mostly corner entry and exit . it was very bumpy due to the big sections of the road mesh so it was remade to make it smoother . the easy cheat is just to make the white line round and looking at real on boards thats what they do .

I don't think you got what Shi was trying to convey ...

Let me give it another shot: there is already a newer version (v1.1) which has better rounded curbs ... , which you better take as starting point to do your improvements on.
Then the curbs ARE already well rounded, so you don't need to do that.
(at least that's how I understand it)

I’m sure I used the one from our french friend

https://modsfire.com/359raU44528AvYI

If it doesn’t work, I will upload my files :-)

I also added higher resolution carbon textures for the interior and made the the interior-material a lot darker.

LCS only. Not tried with gamma. I think it messed up since before 2.35 I tried 2.34 with your exe installer, maybe some files were not properly installed?

Thanks for this pack, the E21 has been a weird omission in AC for a very long time.
If you're planning on updating the pack with the various comments so far, it'd be good if the various gaps around the window seals, door cills etc were filled, as the road can be seen through these from cockpit view. I tried a few configs to reduce them but had no luck, they really need fixing in the kn5. There's a lot of light getting into the cockpit through various meshes too, these need to be set to cast shadows.
Thanks again.
Hi @Masscot ! Yes, unfortunately I noticed it, but it is not a simple and fast job. I have to work on the 3D car models.
As soon as I have some time I will try to do it, along with some improvements in the car physics.
But in the meantime I preferred to release a "working" version of the car, even with some imperfections. I hope to fix as soon as possible.

Just tried this wonderful pack and... OUH YEAH!

I love these cars; despite the small graphical drawbacks I find them very fun to drive, very manageable, with noble reactions that allow you to slide under control, which is a blessing for hamfisted drivers like me... I don't know if their physics will be a faithful reflection from reality, but in this case I don't care, because personally they give me a good time...

Thanks for share!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
