I was furious when the car applied the brakes for me in my first race, then a bit relieved when I discovered I could turn that option off. Then VERY excited when I was posting MUCH faster stages with assists off! I hope the time difference effects Online too. The assists help a noob beat the game, but doesn't really teach you anything about real rally racing. And do we really need a driving line?

How could you start the game with the Braking Assists? When the game 1st starts it asks you to pick your difficulty. When you pick intermediate, etc Brake assists should be auto-turned off. And the driving line just turn it off if you don't like it

I think I choose Intermediate, turned off all assists, +Full damage, but kept on the ABS for now

I picked the first option after reading comments on here about taking a lot of time to get used to it. I didn't think I could just jump into it like Dirt 2, but it's actually very easy to get used to. So far my favorite feature is winter rally, so much more realistic than GT5.

Some people will want the driving line on like me. If its not there I just throw the car of the track into a tree, once I've learned the tracks I won't be using it though. There would be too many complaints if they weren't to include. Just turn it off, simples ;)

Assists I use are ABS and driving line, everything else is off.

Yea I've been thinking about turning the ABS and line on.

Ok interesting just made it to the drifting challenge and noticed the 'dynamic line' came on which I guess is considered differently then the driving line. Just turned it off and it was all good. Trying to learn how to drive on these tracks w/o the driving line. Don't even want to allow myself to get used to it
